It's a shame, really, about all the Iron Bull fanart; at some point this is going to go into outright shipping, and that'll just be indecent.

I'm not worried that will be an issue.

I believe I remarked about a month or so ago that Iron Bull/Sera and Dorian/Vivienne seem the most obvious ships, which is funny as they include the only gay companions.

Was practicing digital free-draw, so I drew Sera. Not nearly as good as most Sera art, but I thought I'd post it. *runs away*

To briefly interject, there is a poll to see who is the most preferred love interest running:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/daili

And it's not a competition, but it would be interesting.

I just found out that Sera's voice actor is from Derbyshire, (where I live) and I spent ages trying to place her accent after we first heard that banter.  :pinched:

How amusing. "It sounds so familiar. I've heard an accent just like that before... but where?"

I'm wish the N. American VAs used regional accents.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but apparently Mike Laidlaw said this about Sera;

"… She’s sassy, she’s a little trashy. She likes the dirty jokes. But she’s very distinct from someone like Isabella. She’s very different. She’s much more for the people, about the common good. And when you have a whole party of people that are kind of like Lords and Ladies, she has her own kind of network of spies and stuff that she relies upon that are completely different from anyone else. Meaning that her demeanour, her attitude is kinda like a breath of fresh air in the Inquisition. Everyone is like very serious and then she comes along and is like, ‘I bought you a hat!’"

The bold is interesting...the Inquisition has our own spy network (and spymaster Leliana) so I wonder what role these extra spies will play?  How will it compare in size to our own spy network?  Is Sera's network a compliment to ours or an alternative?

Aren't those spies the Friends of Red Jenny? She's described as a member in her character profile.

Yeah , it's cool.I wonder if there is way to have an inquisition more pro order , with Cass and co...

And another more chaotic where you rely more on non human /non andrastian options.

Since Sera , Varric , The Iron Bull have spies , dwarven merchant guild , and troops.

Game mechanics dictate that we rely on the three advisers fro all this and we can't replace them so I don't think we can do this (it would be interesting though).

I'm going to guess it will be a complement to our own network. Something Sera specific.

Since the Inquisition has its own spy network, my guess is we won't have to deal with those spies and they will just be kind of there. So they're neither a complement nor an alternative, but rather something inbetween.

What's interesting to me is why Sera lends herself to the Inquisition when she appears to already have herself covered by her own little army. Makes me think there's more to the story than meets the eye.

Possible she saw people die left and right , and her spies and thieves are useless against demons.

She doesn't want the world to end.

I would imagine Leliana's spies are more comprised of nobility and bards, while Sera's work the poorer areas of cities, and probably are comprised of city elves and the like.

I don't think most (sane) artwork will try to make Sera straight since the revelation about her sexual orientation. So far, it seems like they think Iron Bull and Sera might be good friends, or causing nuclear explosions and mayhem with the Cannonball Specials; she's Colossus to his Wolverine. I'm looking forward to seeing how the two actually get along in Inquisition.

Technically in this Scenario, Iron Bull's Colossus(he's the one who throws the fastball).

Unless you were referencing Ultimate Marvel's Colossus, who's gay.

It does make me wonder how well Leliana and Sera will get along. Hopefully well, but it's hard for me to tell at this point.

That would be my first guess. But I still feel there's more to it somehow. Like, something that directly concerns Sera herself.

A spy network is not an army. A group of poor city dwellers isn't going to help much when it comes to demons pouring out of the Fade and killing everyone.

That would be my first guess. But I still feel there's more to it somehow. Like, something that directly concerns Sera herself.

Political, economic, and military power that is otherwise unavailable to her.
