No, I meant...
Maybe there's no point trying at certain times of the day, or even certain days. The RNG just won't give.
Computers are not clever enough. Humans can pull random numbers out of their butts. A computer needs to have a number shown in their throat first, before they can do some magic (read: math) to it and produce a random. Usually, this is either the date, or the time.
This would mean that getting the number "5" on RNG isn't exactly the PC pulling it out of nowhere, but the fact it did a lot of magic to the fact it's the first of March.
I was not commenting on how the RNG works, hence the reason I only quoted your last line. I was merely expressing my frustration with RNG's in general. Because many games that use a RNG have lead to major frustration on my end due to the nature of how the system works and how it's coded. Dealing with a RNG can make you want to toss a game out of the window. I'm welll aware of how a RNG in a program is created and I have written one before.

I think the issue seems to be that DA:I RNG has a lot of gear coded into the same variables and a lot of gear in general. I don't think it's overly complex. There is just a lot of gear it pulls from when conditions A., B. or C. comes up.

No. Easiest way to get t3 leather quickly before you get to the Hissing Wastes.

Arguably, even after. Snoufleurs are defenceless. Two arrows, or a single LongShot (That's actually overkill. I feel like I used a fifty cal againist a soft target.) and boom, up to ten delicious skins.
Meanwhile, Wyverns in the Wastes are both deadlier, and take much longer to kill. (Yes, I have perfected the strategy, and I can kill one within five seconds, but still... Two arrows, or a single LongShot)

Hay, you have a party to feed and you are using the leather to make gear. So, I wouldn't feel bad about it. Just head back to camp and make a big pot of Snoufleur stew while you start tanning the leather. Just be sure to keep the tanning rack down wind of the camp. Because tanning leather stinks.

*Ahem* Yes! Yes he should feel bad! Snowfleurs are Gods Gift to Dragon Age!
And he said, "Let there be Snowfleurs" and there were Snowfleurs.
P.S. I am not religious.

Uh, actually, I sell the leather. All of it.
Had over five stacks of Snoufleur leather... Made over eight grand Sovereigns.

What God do you speak off? Is it the Maker, or one of the Elvhen Pantheon? ![]()

Well, someone will buy it and use it.
There is only one Elven god and it is Malekith The Witch King of Naggaroth. The quicker the elves submit, the better of they will be.

I enjoyed Warhammer but my friends all preferred 40k because of guns and tanks etcetera so I only got to play a few games with my Skaven. Love those cowardly, suicidal rats. ![]()

Played a few 40k/fantasy battles games on pc and loved Warhammer: Age of Reckoning before mismanagment killed it. I also have read a lot of novels and lore for both. Don't have an army for one or the other, simply due to the cost. But, if I ever win the lotto, a Dark Elf f.b. army and a Chaos Space Marine army are on my list.

Chaos Space Marines are pretty cool but for playing purposes, I prefer Space Marines to their Chaos counterpart. You have to have some Khornate Berzerkers in your army though. Crazy b*stards. ![]()

Dark Elves are my favorite. I love the lore behind them and their armor designs. I'm tempted just to get a few units from the table top game for my desk and the shelving in my livingroom.

Snoufleurs are harder to farm, though. Even though they're somewhat easier to kill, there are significantly fewer of them in the Exalted Plains than there are wyverns or lurkers in the Wastes, and their respawn timer can be goofy. (Lurkers are actually easier to farm for leather than wyverns, IMO, and the product is superior.)
Snoufleur hide stats are also generally inferior to lurker and wyvern stats, unless you're making a dual-wielding dagger rogue, in which case the flanking damage is handy.

I bloody hope so. Otherwise, I slaughtered hundreds (by now, total, for this playthrough) of Snoufleurs for no reason whatsoever.

I don't know, but I was in the Wyvern Oasis, and I think the Snoufleurs also farm faster per one Snoufleur than Wyverns.

I'm pretty sure that war and death are just by-products of people worshipping at the altars of wealth and power...
