The same thing happened on my end. I remember thinking "Well, this has gone to hell pretty quick."   ME2 is my favorite as well. While I really liked the open ended exploration that ME1 had. I enjoyed the more focused narrative of ME2. Also, I did like more characters in ME2 than the other two games.

I'm definitely liking ME2 much more than ME1. I'm not as lost in figuring out which quest to do next. It all just makes sense. And I lvoe my companions. Mordin is the best. He almost got me convinced that the genophage is a good thing! Crazy dude.

Mordin is great. He really is a well thought out character. I also love his moment where he thinks you are coming onto him and he calmly lets you down. That was a great moment!

I just finished catching up online. They get a lot better as they go on. Maybe because of her. I tend to smile when she is on screen.  ^_^

He just gave me "the talk" about interspecies intercourse. It was the singlemost greatest and embarassing moment in game history!

Well, Genophage was the worst good solution to a massive problem.

Necessary evil, if you will. Thankfully,

Spoiler

Also Mordin in ME3... Wow. You have yet to experience that for the first time. I will not spoil it, but... Wow. One of the greatest individual moments in any BioWare game for me.

Necessary evil ? ya kidding right ??

It was evil..period . If I could..I shove the genophage on the dalatress and see how she like it..

The genophage...harmed the females krogans and their childrens......I dont see how is that NECESSARY!

The Krogan were savages, ready to slaughter the Galaxy. Admittedly, they were like this because Salarians sped up the evolution process and handed them nuclear weapons. The Salarians did this because The Rachni were destroying the Galaxy.

The Krogan reproduce like ants. Thousands of them in a short amount of time. I think quelling their numbers wasn't necessarily the right thing but it was the only thing that could be done.

They are all born from eggs laid by a queen?

No... that's the Salarians. And the Rachni.

The Krogan, as far as I am aware, birth one Krogan at a time, though there is chance that there could be twins, triplets etcetera. It has been said during the games though that the Krogan birthrates were exponential. The Krogan without the Genophage, would be able to field soldiers constantly because more Krogan are being born. Enough to replace those that die.

You get what I'm saying.

Yup, you're better off doing this unknowing makes it more interesting. First time round I dun fooked up the suicide mission. Lots of people died, whoops. ME2 still my fav in the series.

Just started replaying right now finished ME1 yesterday, it was three years since I played ME1, enjoyed it much more than I remembered. Can't believe how few lines their were in the romance, didn't remember that.

I was so much better at ME1 than I used to be and so far I'm so much worse than I remember at ME2.

Sort of. According the the wiki the female Krogan do in fact lay eggs and a single female Krogan can produce 1,000 eggs per year.
