You all should learn by now that I don't do abbreviations.
They boggle my mind up.

Oh boy here we go! Finally a storage chest! Although their patch notes mention game stabilization it does not say exactly what that is...
I'm not sure. My game just went all "OH GOD, WHERE ARE ALL MY FRAMES? Oh, I think I can see one over there! NOOO, WAIT, COME BACK HERE!"
I'll try restarting the game. But a hotfix may be necessary... It's too early to tell.

I believe that is the first time I have ever been called a silly goose. ![]()

But that is just... way to much effort.
You... are evil... Pure evil...

John Wayne had horrible ctd's in the beta that caused him to uninstall.
Are you saying fps drops or stuttering?
Oh and there is a thread in scuttlebutt where people noticed the sheeny hair is back. This is because they decoupled the shader quality from the mesh. So there is now a new shader slider that you have to reset. For a lot of people it has been set on "low." Reset it to "high" for removal of the "sheeny."

FPS drop. Like, into the 0-5 FPS scale. My ShadowPlay reported the frames my eye was seeing, too. Freezes a second long at times.
It seems to have regained itself upon saving and reloading, however.
It may be my old IT Technician cred, or remnants of it... the PC is still scared of the fact if it doesn't work, I might fix it up.
(Seriously, some of the PCs I've fixed in my life, I give credit to THAT. Just magic. And the PCs being scared of the big IT Tech.)

At some point we may have to beg them to stop patching. ![]()

The directx crash was an issue since day one on my end. The patch 5 beta simply made it insanely more frequent and that's why I pretty much said screw it and gave up. The real kicker is the fact that the directx crash is a symptom of a issue with the Frostbite engine and it has already been fixed in Battlefield 4 for pc. So it's not like it's a unknown issue that has never came up or been fixed.
Sounds like they need to hire some new tech-monkeys.

I'd gladly take the job if they are willing to draw up an agreeable contract and allow me to get all of the info from Dice that I need. But, they can't pay me in bananas.

Dice is the company who developed the Frostbite engine and fixed the directx crash issue in BF4. Unlike Bioware, I would go to the source of both the engine info and the fix. If Bioware where to do this, it probably wouldn't be an issue this long after release. lol

I've had about 3 of the direct x crashes since November. The game is not gpu friendly at all.
I'll let it update but I'll be playing ME 2 tonight and I'll just wait to deal with this new nonsense.

Yeah...
Turns out, I was too quick. The game needs a hotfix. It just went into 0 frames (reported by ShadowPlay, I saw... well, something around a frame per second, but my eyes, and my brain, nowhere near as precise as a computer in this stuff) in a cutscene.

Not sure that's a wise move. The new features are pretty good, though. A STORAGE CHEST WITH A THOUSAND SLOTS!
Also, armor tinting. Guess what was the second thing I did upon getting in the Undercroft. Yup, you got it!
Gotta figure out how to get in the Black Emporium now.

Their blog says Black Emporium is still being worked on and is not in this release.
If Shadowplay is a benchmark utility like Fraps (which I use) then do not use it. This game has had serious problems with running with outside benchmarking utilities running so I was advised not to use Fraps for this game. Try running the in game benchmark and is there a difference?
* Please note that the Black Emporium is not part of the patch 5 release. Thanks to the excellent feedback we received from the people in our beta program, we are continuing to work on this feature.

BioWare have seriously f*cked up on the management of these patches. A hot fix being required every other patch is just downright p*ss poor quality.

ShadowPlay is a part of my GPU's drivers. It's a tool directly from NVidia. It can also record videos...
Anyway, considering it runs within the driver, I don't think there's much of a problem there...
Also, thanks for the Emporium news. Bit of a shame, but oh hey! If they can make the frames be ok again, the new features are pretty good additions.
