Comics are always experimenting with changes like that. Or changes in general (even entire universes will change for a few years or so). Yet this one about Thor has sparked controversy lately. I don't know why.

 

I'm not really surprised by this anymore. I saw a guy on Steam's comments complaining about being "forced"* to play as a woman in an isometric mech game - I figure some guys are just allergic to femininity.

I don't really follow comic book super heroes but didn't they make Thor female in the new editions? Interesting twist.

 

Yeah. In the comics, Thor is dead and is supposedly (hopefully) never coming back. Thor is now a woman. After all, the 9 realms need protecting by someone. Might as well be someone with the same name as the last person.

Alligators: Congregation

Bats: Cloud

Catterpillars: Army

Parrots: Pandemonium

Zebras: Dazzle (!)

I'm really enjoying the new Thor and I don't see why so many people are up in arms about it. Anyone who is worthy of Thor's power can pick up Mjölnir and gain the powers of Thor. Also, through out the years Odin has granted powers like Thor's to several characters permanently. So, why is the fact that this Thor is female such a big deal?
