I just don't like it. I'm not a social person and MP forces me to be social and prevents me from playing the way I want. You have to follow the group. And there is always a jackass somewhere who thinks it's fun to kill other players and ruin your fun. Basically, MP sucks for me because it runs contrary to my usual play style.

 

Same. I've done coop with people I knew and I will do coop if I know you but I prefer my games to be played alone and this mp trend just seems like laziness on the part of developers to me i.e. it's easier for them to make then a good single player story.

 

The few times I tried mp I just saw a lot of trolling and it ruined the joy as in "get gud dude!" or "u mad bro?!"  Of course none of that was directed at me cause I am amazing.

This is why I always play ME3's multiplayer by myself lol. I played Destiny for a while, but I pretty much did the entire game's main "story" solo. I hate chatting with people during a game.

Destiny is just such a disappointing game. I would happily make it the exception to my rule of not trading in games, but it would mean having to trade in my PS4 as well.

I like MP focused games. But, the ones that hold my interest are few and far between. I don't play MP games that have unmonitered voice chat and ones that don't have admins or a vote kick feature. 

 

I don't think I've ever played MP in my life. I'm in all my games for the story; fights are obstacles to the rest of the story.

For me, ME3's ending....

...was a real kick in the nads.  I wanted my Shep to retire to a beach planet somewhere with his favourite blue space girl and their lots of little blue children, and get visited by the old gang every so often.  Maybe Garrus and Tali could have a holiday villa in the next bay.  The inevitable death almost overshadowed the endings themselves.

 

I've only seen two of the endings: synthesis and "no choice made" - because I didn't realise that was the result of not choosing at that point!  I've only ever played with the ends Extended (ooer!).  Destroy kills Shep, kills EDI, and kills the Geth who I'd just worked very hard to save.  Control effectively kills Shep by uploading him as the Reaper Overmind, changing him into an entirely different entity.  Synthesis I think of as "the Legion option" - giving yourself to change and save your/all people.  Which I guess suits my Shep most of all, even though I'm not happy about it since it involves, yes, killing Shep again.

 

An ending I would have liked instead?  Hmmm.... just off the top of my head now, since I haven't actually considered it any further than the beach planet...

 

Everything up to just before the kid appears is fine.  I like the battered and half-dead Shep against the universe.  Then... maybe a conversation with Harbinger, all philosophical like, with the battle outside as a backdrop?  Scenes of your team mates fighting, and winning or dying based on war assets and paragon/renegade so that stuff actually gets to make a bloody difference. The Crucible activating, ready to go. A decision to destroy or control the Reapers is.... kinda okay.  But instead of synthesis I would have the "shutdown" option instead, the availability of the options again based on war assets PLUS paragon/renegade balance.

 

Basically... choose: blow the Reapers to bits, with multi-planet fallout from the devastation and other possible repercussions if playing Bad!Shep; take control of the Reapers and use them to police/dominate the galaxy; or basically turn the Reapers off  forever and salvage the tech for a better/dominated galaxy.

 

So kinda six options instead of just three.  Plus "no choice" as well because funny.

 

Then retire.  Lost of little blue children.  Shepard heritage for galactic domination.  Cue that hi-larious "Commander Shepard" song.

 

Or there's always fanfic....

@BC honestly the only MP I have dipped my toes in our DA and ME. I don't care for games like Battlefield or Call of Doody.

I too chose synthesis. I'm always surprised when people such as crimmy and alexia react so strongly against it. I guess it's because I don't believe in an afterlife/souls, or that organic life is fundamentally different from synthetic, once self-awareness is achieved. For me, human consciousness is nothing more than an emergent property of a complex brain, just as Geth consciousness emerged from complex interactions between Geth units. I certainly saw everyone staying alive as the best option from a bad lot, and something my Shepard would gladly do, even though it meant sacrificing her life and never seeing Liara again.

I couldn't take it. Everything I want to see more of this setting is more mundane, more racial/human based conflict and drama. Not this level of fantasy that rearranges the nature of existence itself.

tbh its my dream for that to happen merging with the spirit realm it sounds wonderful

I mostly hate it because it's the end then. It's essentially saying that you want the game setting to burn. And then have it be another setting that no one can write about with any competence.

Agreed. I think Solas will try to make this come true with all of his and Mythal's power. Maybe the Inquisitor will have a hand in making this dream to a reality. I think the spirits are Solas' people.

I hate it because I find the idea of everlasting peace as wholly unpalatable. It just doesn't compute for me. That, and destroying the reapers appeals to the lizard brain side of me that relishes in completely obliterating the enemy, even if that means walking over an entire race to do it, with some survival added on as a bonus.

 

I guess the problem with the whole joining of the spirit world with the physical realm in DA is that, unlike, say, the Avatar series, we don't have Miyazaki-esque little sprites that harmlessly meander about in or out of the Fade. It's all insane monsters.

soon as he talked of the fade i said screw MT fights... lets merge the realms and become transended.... the markers will bring us to immortality XD

I'm always going to be an advocate for more mundane drama. Something that DAI already sucks at to begin with. Loghain is my standard. Or the Arishok. Not all of this wonky b.s. It just doesn't interest me on any level. I like it when the fantasical is a backdrop, but not when it dictates the nature of life in a setting to that level.
 
Sorry if I sound combative to you personally. I'm just annoyed in general. Not directing it to you.
