Just imagine Javik's reaction to the green ending though:
Spoiler
He builds an airlock big enough to throw the galaxy out of.

I think in one path for him, he says he's going to go off to commit suicide after the battle. I hope that worked out for him.. before the green light came.

soon as he talked of the fade i said screw MT fights... lets merge the realms and become transended.... the markers will bring us to immortality XD
Well Thedas was already merged with the fade a little, hence the hole in the sky.
I could see how that would be a problem though, because if spirits are living with the people of Thedas, then there would also be demons. But then again, there are always bad people in the world.

I say I like the mundane..
While I sit here watching British dramas about Alzheimers.
lol.. I think I'm just not that big of a fantasy or sci-fi fan actually. Which is where the annoyance comes from. I prefer drama first. You can change the backdrop and flavor of the drama a bit, but if you change questions about life itself, I'll throw it out.

I mostly hate it because it's the end then. It's essentially saying that you want the game setting to burn. And then have it be another setting that no one can write about with any competence.

it will drive the templars mad knowing they are "abominations" hara-kiri for them all * insane laughter then goes into coughing fit*. If i had it my way id sunder it completly and such if cory did anything right its thatWell Thedas was already merged with the fade a little, hence the hole in the sky.

I react badly to it because it dehumanizes things. I like the fantastical, but not to that extent. Same goes for DA, if there were ever some storyline that mingled the spirit world with the real. I couldn't take it. Everything I want to see more of this setting is more mundane, more racial/human based conflict and drama. Not this level of fantasy that rearranges the nature of existence itself.
I think many people's dislike for that option stems from...

It's not new, yeah. I just think it's all crap. Those stories are just too esoteric for their own good. Like Philip K Dick. Overrated ramblings of a drug addled madman.

Not sure about that one. Some of his best stuff was adapted and made sense out of from others. Total Recall and Blade Runner, for example.

Welcome to Fantasy/Science Fiction.
I've always known it. Don't need the welcome map exactly.
I just dislike it when it reaches some of these levels.
It's fun as a backdrop and for adding new elements (like races) to everyday life. Don't care for much else.

Pity we couldn't recruit any agents named Belmont... that would have been a nice little wink. *Castlevania reference*

I can't stress enough how much I disagree with this. I don't think "the singularity" is coming within a few decades as some do, but I do think that these are real questions that we will have to face with the advancement of technology, unless of course we wipe ourselves out first. We are already beginning to develop real cybernetic technology that works, such as cybernetic arms where the hand can be opened and closed by the brain, and we're only at the start. Sci-fi is a good way for us to explore these technologies and their implications.

Well there are different kinds of fantasy. High fantasy usually reaches out for the beyond. You sound like you're interested in Urban Fantasy, which stays really close to personal human stories, like Percy Jackson.

I don't know Percy Jackson. Isn't that that kid's book?
I like sword and sorcery (Conan/Hyboria), and I like GoT.. which kind of borders on pseudo historical fiction.

I think I've only played one of those games, but remember the Final Fantasy series(♡) more, since I played Castlevania and FF along side each other.
