So how long does inquisition span not counting the time travel

See, this is why DA2 was better: you could see people develop as characters. DAI doesn't give the same opportunity.

It's an advantage of the timeframe, for sure. I especially liked the developing relationships between the NPCs as the game wore on. Oddly the DA2 romances all felt flat, to me, though. None of them inspired me at all.

I've been wondering myself. Seems like so much so fast..

And I kind of doubt it was as long as DAO.. Cory seems like.. his plans are moving forward fairly quickly. And we can't wait like a year or something.

Yeah, not the biggest fan of it's romances, but it's still my favorite DA game of the bunch. I think...

It's tough to say exactly, but I think we're talking months not years, for sure.

Months sounds right. Maybe close to a year.

I think this start is fairly short, but I hope we see the Inquisition.. say, years down the line and what becomes of it.

Hope it falls too.

It's still plot heavy if it falls.. The bad side of anyone or anything being this powerful is a story in itself. No matter how well intentioned. The Inquisition is a farce. :D

I don't see how the Inquisition is any more farcical than any of the other major institutions of Thedas. They've pretty much all screwed up in one way or another.

It's not a waste for the general themes already addressed..

The themes of belief and faith.

I simply don't believe in any of it. And I want to see some vindication there, as a player. To me, the whole idea is ****** stupid. I would've probably been more open to Hawke, but not the randomness here. It's requires too much faith (in oneself) and hubris.

It's not hubristic to step into a spot that others have prepared for you.

You're basically becoming everything Corypheus wanted to be. Or the Envy demon in the Templar quest.

To willingly think you deserve that is hubris.

I feel sorry for the people of Thedas now.. that one person came out of nowhere and suddenly can dictate their political and religious life.

But... that's not true at all. The people decide on their own what you mean religiously, with no input from the PC. The PC also doesn't become a god-emperor of all Thedas. As for dictating politics, that happened several times in DAO as well.

Said person also saved the world from utter destruction and resolved two major conflicts.

Just saying.

That's the difference with us, I guess. I don't want my turn. It just makes me sad for the setting.. and roleplaying wise.. it's people.

I could buy into it a little more if the setup was better, but the randomness just makes me focus on the negatives even more. You don't have be anything specifically to be the Inquisitor. So not only is the world being dictated to.. it's being dictated to by a sh*tty character. Making it even more of a crime. :D

Anyone have any theories on how Sera and Dagna became buddies. The two seem so ideologically opposed that I can't see how they'd get along.

Maybe it has something to do with Dagna being so squishy cute.
