Well, he did directly cause the mess in Inquisition, even if it wasn't voluntary. He might have a history of meaning well but making it worse. Now I have to wonder about Andraste... Was he involved there too?

Oh I think that he has exactly that history. That's why he asks you about what happens if you try make things better with the inquisition and it goes wrong... I think he did lock away the other elven Gods. Not as an evil trickster but to stop them doing horrible things. I'm guessing that in doing so he inadvertently caused the conditions that allowed humanity to take over Thedas.

I hope so. I kind of like the idea of the whole world being a tangled ball of yarn where each story leads to another choice and each terrible mistake snarling the knots even more.

Mmh... I would call it ''grossly overestimating his own skills while grossly underestimating the other mage's''. Note that his name means 'pride' and that he acts condescendingly to a lot of people. So I would put him on the 'really not that smart' list.

There was one theory that he was Shartan, because they're both bald (lol), but Shartan was burned with Andraste.

Again, this is just me theorising, but I think he gave Corypheus the orb in order to free the Elven Gods again. I suspect that the Tevinter Old Gods and the Elven Gods are the same creatures. Instead he managed to screw up again, causing the gods to be corrupted and the blights to start. Just guesswork but I think it fits with the general facts that we have...

explain tis to me : In the end cutscene....He tell flemeth he just wake up..or something like that....So when did he give the Orb ? and why give the Orb to a blighter like corny when he can use it himself....? and when did they ever meeet ? Stupid GAme..!! They could made this much better with suspense..and sola running away and we chasing them both in the fade...ARGHHHH!
