Well... Tressa fancied her, and she didn't say no...

I'm saying...when i met her as any other character, there seemed to be more...something there. But with an elf it's...nothing about that initial meeting makes me want to romance her. even as the story progresses and i talk to her...something just never feels quite right. first impressions man. I'm not opposed to working for it i just don't know if it's worth it. The challenge of it is what has me intrigued.

Kind of, if you played a Cousland. Howe doesn't have the same punch otherwise.

Although..if we are talking Gods..and especially these Old Gods who have no definitions like in D&D Deity system.....they may just be all Bad . So then it come down to siding with the Lesser evil.....

Bad is a matter of perspective. Nobody thinks they're the bad guy. Even Corypheus thinks he is the good guy. The question isn't who is good or who is bad. The question is are you prepared to fight for your beliefs? After that, it comes down to who is stronger/smarter/luckier.

 

Good thing we have badasses on our side and the other side has (mostly) wimps.

But... If the old elven gods and the old Tevinter gods are one and the same, how does that work out in the fall of Arlathan? So we have the Elven empire and its gods. The empire falls, Tevinter rises. Tevinter adopts the Elven gods as their own? Or Tevinter is manipulated by the Old gods like the Elves were? 

 

Could it be that the Fade is to the Dread Wolf what the Well of Sorrows is to Mythal? Remember the orb is used to open the Fade, and Abelas remarks on the Inquisition carrying 'the mark of magic'. If so, could it be that the Dread Wolf and Mythal fought the other gods and the Elven empire was destroyed as a result? 

 

Then the Old gods found new slaves in Tevinter and Dumat sent the magisters to the Fade in an effort to get back at the Dread Wolf? Then why was the Blight unleashed? Were there more red lyrium idols? One was hidden underground, one in the Fade (the sky) and... one underwater?

 

So many questions. And no answers.

I need to write down the rough timeline for this that I have in my head. I'm quite willing to have it picked apart, as I've not studied the lore anywhere near as deeply as some. I'm about to leave work, though, so it will have to be later...

He is an arrogant boshtet! who think he know it all and that the world deserve him as a God . Its funny...ya would think seeing what he claimed 'The God throne was Empty'...he would stay far away from Godhood desire....I mean...wouldnt that turn him into an atheist if he entered the black city as a religious person ?

Well Tressa was just fascinated by an elf whose whole attitude was so different to any that she had previously known. Her whole outlook was to learn new stuff and see new perspectives, which was why she's jumped at the chance to spy on the conclave in the first place.

To be honest..with an elf....she is...reticent alot ? when I tried it..beside the fact I felt I had to grind for her approval compared to a Qun....It forced me to do things differently just to get those....and the major turn off..is how much she seem hesitant and I felt like a jerk forcing a romance on her . Never finished the romance after that...Nah .

I didn't think there was a timeline for those events?. It goes back to the "ancient age" where time is barely tracked. Tevinter is way after that.

I said "rough timeline" as in "chronological sequence" not actual dates.

To be honest..with an elf....she is...reticent alot ? when I tried it..beside the fact I felt I had to grind for her approval compared to a Qun....It forced me to do things differently just to get those....and the major turn off..is how much she seem hesitant and I felt like a jerk forcing a romance on her . Never finished the romance after that...Nah . 

 

I felt she was reticent early but I didn't feel it like you did with my elf. Sera really loved my little elf and that scene where she confesses about her fear of losing her lover was pretty good for me. My elf however was pretty warm towards Andraste so if you play an elf keep in mind the more pro-Dalish you are the more of a mountain you will climb but getting along with her as an elf is not impossible but you have to finesse it. I did it for the sheer bloodymindedness of it. I will probably be a Qun mama the next time I try it.

Has the tinting helped at all? I tinted up the entire party yesterday. Bull and Sera look pretty swank now. I'll post screenies later if I think of it. 

 

I think a city elf option would have been ideal. Shame they did not think of it.

well call me stupid..but when I went to make a new armor..I didnt see anything new...so where is the Tinting thingy ?

I think they'll make up for it in the next game and probably have City Elf instead of Dalish.

Yeah...but ya know....if I need food now.....giving me food later..doesnt change the fact I was left starving when I need it the most....

 

Oh they can make up for it ...although a next game isnt really a make up for it..since they have a tendancie to fix X and screw up in Y .

Go into the undercroft in Skyhold. Turn to the right and next to the pole where you buy/sell stuff there should be a new table. You can tint all the armor in your party there. You can add some outrageous reds, yellows, oranges. Sera is a scarlet wonder now and Bull I gave this greenish tint to all his stuff. But you can really do some cool stuff so that even if it is the same old Qun armor you can at least make it colorful.

Forcing a romance on Sera as an elf, that's a first, haven't heard anyone describe it like that. Nevermind the fact that she is very willing to bed your Inquisitor once you have the first sit down talk, doesn't sound like anyone is forcing her to do that. Forced not a word I would use to describe Sera's initial hang-ups on dating an elf.

 

Also started a Qunari run for science, still sitting there untouched.
