I just find it hillarious how the newer Bioware fans are so defensively they just ignore any form of criticism but then I see people on twitter crying over this char not being a romance option. So much for ignoring the negativity when it fits them and not.

 

If people get so provoked from some negativity about their favourite character, they got to have some pretty damn good lives with no troubles if this makes them so pissed.

Note that this change makes elves look more like humans again, though, rather than making them (or rather, just Sera apparently) look like dwarves.  Because, y'know, no one else seems to really think she does.  You restating that opinion won't change everyone else's opinion on it, any more than everyone else restating the opposite opinion will change-

Least you can confess Bioware should had this freaking done by now. Retconning in absurdum like they done with this series is a bit to much. What was wrong with the old elven? I liked the tall, slender, odd shaped alien like elfs of DA2. Why change them again to these...yeah well if I say something negative someone will cry.

As someone who severely disliked the Rice-Krispy-Breakfast-Cereal Elves of DA2 and the uninspired design in Origins, I'll say that so far they look pretty great in Inquisition. Given that Elves is a fictional race, originally stemming from Germanic folkore, and have been broadly defined between various works of literature and culture, it's hard to say what an "elf" is supposed to look like. I suppose most people would derive their image of elves from Tolkien, since he defined them as tree commuters, shooting bows and arrows, which is seemingly the status quo for all modern epic fantasy scenarios. In that respect, I'd say these elves, Sera and the Inquisitor alike, look fine to me.

I think our issue, overall, is us being confused about why Sera's looks are, instead of simply being not to your taste, some kind of character sin by Bioware. Or is this some sort of objection to the overall elven redesign? In which case it'd have little to do with Sera directly.

 

Also, I think the only thing Solas has in common with Voldemort is baldness, and that just requires inclination to shave, nothing physical.

Well, many games and books do consider elves as the best archers overall because of good eyesight so yeah...
