How do you think you would feel if the endings had just been a generic, big explosion, Reapers die, party?
II will say this, as much as I disliked how the ME3 endings played out, I have to give Bioware a lot of respect for them. Because it took a lot of guts for Bioware to attempted what they did. I can picture a lot of meeting where everyone was debating weather or not to scrap the ME3 ending altogether. Simply because they knew it would create a lot of back lash.
But, more to the point. I didn't want to see anything close to a generic story book ending or straight up sequel bait.

I don't mind that either. I'm not a big complainer of the endings.
Like I said, it's the content itself that bugged me.. didn't feel like I was continuing my life from ME2. ME3 felt lonely.

Only part of the ending I really didn't like was Earth itself. The final run was like ME1's last battle. They should have made a bigger badass version of the Suicide mission instead.. with multiple squads and big choices. Instead you just kind of cut through like the Saren battle. It's a step back.

Ya dont try something 'Different' or 'New' at the end of a Serie . Thats as bad as those who write some charachters and the charachter grow and they stick them with the same original ending that doesnt fit anymore (Aka Xena ending) .
No...Thats just a bad ugly move .
They wanna try something different ? they can stick it to a DLC...or a new Game . Not to the ending to a Long Serie that millions of peoples wanted a closure that leave them satisfied...instead.....their 'different' all it did..is Kill alot of peoples . I saw peoples writing and drawing and playings..and they all Stopped due to the ending . It's Unforgivable !

A bit better, but ultimately the disappointment would still be there: maybe I would have done another full playthrough, but that would have been the end of it. Consider that I've played the first two games countless times, at least 6 times per game.

I'm not sure it was that different. A final morale choice is not unheard of in games, Deus Ex probably did it most famously. Whacking one at the end is popular because it has the least knock on effects so even otherwise linear games have them.
I'm all for trying new things but really at the end of the 70+ hour trilogy is I think the last place you want to be experimenting - particularly in a series you've been making up as you go along.
