Anybody know why she hates elven things so much? Any theories. I'm still thinking she is just young and does not want to think highly of elves because some Dalish may have treated her bad.

Some of that works yeah.. big feeling of dread throughout the game.
 
but could've used my friends during that..

they had their own thing sometimes its indirection that works best

Hum...since ME4 will be a shooter..actually it may have a better chance at less being crappy...I mean..wasnt Bf 4 a shooting kinda of game ? 

 

Engines don't really lock you into a genre. Well that's a simplification but Frostbite being for shooters shouldn't have been an issue to make an RPG with.

 

 

So why they insist on using it then ? 

 

Pretty much all EA studios use Frostbite now. It has the advantage of letting them share code, also presumably there's a financial advantage to not paying licensing fees.

its a menagerie of reasons; self-loathing, religious bias,youthful arrogance/ignorance, possible bad experiance, not conforming to human laws and life its a long list.

Yep, that seems to be the case. I still think EA will start selling a Frostbite licence once the engine wars start up again. I don't see them passing up on the chance to make more cash.

ive heard and fought (even profiteered) in the console wars but there was a engine war?

I get the not moving on part but it's like she has so much respect for the Maker but thinks Mythal is some demon really? I think there us some sort of back story that needs to be fleshed out.

She seems pretty prideful to me.. and very relaxed and confident when dissing Solas. Not overly defensive or anything like that.

That come off in some dialogue....like during a romance with Qunari....and some others....with IB I believe .

I dont remember her having respect for the Maker . Heck I personally believe that she follow Andraste..but never heard of her following the Maker . 

 

Sera believe she is with the commun folk of any race . And the Dalish or elf....like to isolate themself from everyone with their cultures and their own beliefs . 

 

So in short she doesnt wanna be seen as an elf..but as someone who do stuff for everyone in the same status as her and nothing more . She doesnt want Label....

I don't know where she stands on the Maker, but I agree with everything else.

she borders on evangelical at times so there a possiblity she devout... if somewhat lax

When she said you can't believe in the Maker and many Gods I just assumed she believed at least a little bit. And not like elves instead just not liking the Dalish I saw that play out when she called the Alienage tree stupid. But as Hamsharal she did want to work with the elves. But it seemed every elven thing I did she disliked

I thought that, but as far as I'm aware they haven't been making any attempts to sell the license to anyone. It seems likely to me that EA isn't actually interested in marketing to devs, and is hoping to build an engine which lets their devs make better games. I mean, if the sharing innovations thing actually works it would be pretty amazing.

 

There's also the thought that EA really likes branding (see the pesudo-BioWare studios a few years back) and they're trying to establish Frostbite as a brand players recognise.

elf get the least approval with her , especially if ya take all those special Elf reply . The only way to stay Elf and be with her..is if ya play an elf that doesnt care for her heritage .

I mean, Alexia's theory could be right. That she just likes Andraste. I don't know about the Maker specifically.
 
She puzzles me.. because she can show religious bias like you said, but when I made the Inquisition for Faith.. she disapproved. And when I talked about Faith, she called me a loony

Back in the 90's and into the early 2000 several developers where trying to out do one another with their video game engines. For example id Software had their id Tech engine and Epic had the Unreal engine. Each time one released a new version of their engine the competitors would release their new version of their engine in order to compete with everyone else. This was also around the time when video game engine licencing took off. Primarily the whole thing took place on pc and it was the time where we seen one jump forward after another in game engine tech in general.

oh before my time then i did start fighting til the 360/wii/ps3 wars started (owned almost every system b4 then too) and if it was mainly a pc "civil war" doesnt seem too profitable

The only way to stay Elf and be with her..is if ya play an elf that doesnt care for her heritage .
