hehe "fun" is a interesting choice of wordI think in the end, Sera will poke fun at any topic that gets too serious.
Dalish and Solas are just an easy target.

to elf fans very but still refreshing to see a character that constantly (if confusingly) challenges you and causes critical thinkingLets face it, she's kind of a troll.

its complicated shes a true chaotic nuetral so she is the "WILDCARD"
oh before my time then i did start fighting til the 360/wii/ps3 wars started (owned almost every system b4 then too) and if it was mainly a pc "civil war" doesnt seem too profitable
Developers made an insane amount of money during that time just from engine licencing alone. It was not uncommon for a developer to make more money on a engine licences than the game they developed with the engine. Just to give you an idea of how big of a deal it was here is the wiki for id Tech 3 that lists every game that used the engine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id_Tech_3

Applying the DnD alignments like this is breaking their intent. Sera is 'good' in that she fights for the people, not herself - but then a lot of evil has been done for unselfish reasons.

That's because consoles were more divergent then and PC was a bigger deal. These days all of the major engines (Unity, Unreal, Frostbite, CryEngine) build for the consoles. You have to make sure they work of course, but the point is the engines can be used for all platforms.

Yep, at one point the guys over at Epic decided they where no longer going to develop games, they where going to completely shift the companies focus to developing the Unreal Engine and selling licences for it. The idea didn't last that long, but even if it did, they would still be making money hand over fist.

I don't know if DnD would consider that evil either. The measures she may go to are the chaotic side.. the good is in the intent and morality behind it.

wildcard sides alignments are more guidlines so she could be a CG or CN but either way a "interesting person"Applying the DnD alignments like this is breaking their intent. Sera is 'good' in that she fights for the people, not herself - but then a lot of evil has been done for unselfish reasons.

chaotic neutral always struck me more as a rugged individualist and libertarian.. and a lot more questionable and ruthless. Like Conan in his early days. Or Jack in ME. They don't really care about "causes" the same way Sera does.
Some would say Jack is chaotic evil, but to me, that's Morinth. In D&D, they're pretty much untamable.. you couldn't even group with one.

Well that's the thing DnD seems to equate evil with selfishness. Which mostly works for DnD - but I find limits morality to a fairly strict pattern for anything else.
wildcard sides alignments are more guidlines so she could be a CG or CN but either way a "interesting person"
Her wildcardness is the Chaotic part of the alignment. Neutral on the Good / Evil axis represents not taking action over other people's suffering, but not exploiting them either. A con artist who only steals from the rich but doesn't give to the poor might be CN. Sera is deeply compassionate so I'd argue she has to be has to be CG.
But the point of the DnD system is to provide a quick reference and set up opposing forces. Law that fights chaos, good that fights evil. It's not supposed to be a summary of the complexities of motive, extremism, predictability and obedience.
