I think anything looks good in black and white. You can't go wrong with it.

For the most part, yeah, although maybe not a rainbow... ;)

You've never been to New York? I think if I were American I'd certainly have visited the big apple by now... I will, some day, I hope.

Nope... my brother lives there actually, but have no interest really. I'm....umm.....not good with that many people.

I wouldn't want to live in a big city for that very reason. Crowds wear me down after a while, but I like to visit just for the other things that they have to offer. Once I got up at 6am on a Sunday morning and wandered around central London with hardly anyone about. That was pretty surreal...

That sounds cool. I figured London would still be packed even that early.

In the UK we have these archaic rules that restrict the time that shops can open on Sundays, so most places don't open until 10 or 11 am. If you want to see a UK city devoid of people, early on a Sunday morning is a good time to do it, even in London.

Sad memories of New York, took the Stanton ferry, young and excited, got beautiful pictures of the New York skyline. Before I had the picture developed 9/11 happened. I'LL never forget the heartache at work watching the towers fall, one of my best friends at work his birthday is 9/11.

Wow.. My brother was working in Manhattan then. He's one of the coldest people I know and it still affects him. I can't imagine what it's like..

Sera is the "Uncle Tom" of Elves.

Hardly. She doesn't defend injustice. She'll help out elf and human alike.

She just doesn't care about ancient history.

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my photo. Y'all are so sweet to me!

I do not consider stating the obvious truth as a compliment...

*whistles to himself*

I don't need weapons on a date Serz. Lol.

Also, just "pretty good"? :P

Uh, I didn't want to sound, uh... weird?

Besides, a "pretty good" from me means something along the lines of "looking smoking" (phrase borrowed from Garrus...)

I need weapons. Not a date.

That's an instantaneous Serza Seal of Approval!

I met my wife on an internet forum like this, just when I was at a really low ebb after losing my job. I certainly didn't go there in search of romance, I was just occupying my time. One never knows what lies around the corner in life, good or bad...

What a lucky break, eh?

Whoah! Holy. Smokes.  :D

Accurate reaction for both of us.

I just hid it more...

Just found this photo from back in December on one of my cameras. It was taken on my lunch break the day after I got Sera's romance scene in the inquisitor's room, which is probably why I'd forgotten all about taking it, but I rather like it. I have no idea who the woman in the picture is, by the way. Just some random stranger, presumably a York Uni student...

Cute.

*my cat's judgmental glare intensifies*

It might be surprising to you, but that reminds me of me. I have never been in the Capital. That's four hours by car.

Oh, shoot... That was... 2001, right?

I barely understood it back then. I was six... Horrible.

9/11 is such an odd bittersweet event for me. Obviously it was terrible for all involved, but it happened just five days after my wife arrived in the UK for the first time. It was a horrible event that marks such tragedy for those who lost loved ones and saw such horrific destruction in their city, as well as a nasty turn in geopolitical events, but equally it coincided with one of the happiest times in my life on a personal level. I have such mixed feelings about that time. We watched it unfold with horror at the same time that we were ecstatic to be together after over a year of only being able to talk online...

When you go to a place like New York the worst thing you can do is spend your entire time in down town Manhattan. Spend a day or so in Manhattan and head to the boroughs. When I visited NY a few years back, I ended up spending more time in The Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn than I did in down town Manhattan. The boroughs are a lot less crowed and you will have a better time in general. It will also give you a better idea of what New York is really like.
