i like that revered mother in denerum's version more paradies are life's release valvesI couldn't care less about it from a religious point of view but I prefer that delivery to just saying the words.

Sweet, a fellow X-Com fan I see. Great game even with all the bugs.Haha. Playing XCOM:EW with Long War mod...
Naming my SHIVs (basically unmanned ground vehicles) after DA or ME related things. I think ME would be more fitting though.
So far, I have one called "Warden", and another being built (not christened yet...)

Sweet, a fellow X-Com fan I see. Great game even with all the bugs.
I caught some interest in the entire turn-based strategy a little while back. I tried ArmA: Tactics, because it was on sale (and the base price is very low, too... I ended up getting it for only a little over 1EUR) but it turned out pretty bad. Of course, I knew by then that there's XCOM, but I didn't get it until rather recently. Shame, considering how much superior game it is, compared to ArmA: Tactics.
And of course, I got the expansion this week, so I've been playing Long War ever since.
I have to admit, though, I found out how good Long War is through Youtube. A person by the name of Beagle streams it, and has another campaign on YT. Coincidentally, I found him because of my interest in ArmA (as the man was a member of ShackTac)...
I don't remember it being hugely buggy when I played it...
Oh, it isn't... There's a few bugs, like the flanking bug (where sometimes it doesn't give you a flank when you really have one) and a couple others, but I don't think they're too bad.
I remember Squadsight snipers being bugged (flanks wouldn't count properly for the "In The Zone" skill if the target was only visible through Squadsight) in LW b14, but I'm not sure if that's a LW thing, or an XCOM thing. Me, I only started playing on LW b15 (very recent... Maybe a week old version) where the bug is fixed - if I ever get a sniper as far as MSGT, that is. So far, I'm happy for LCPL troops, and would kill 'Toids (literally...) for Sergeants.
Thankfully, me

ARGH!!!! I need to play more of Life is Strange! I NEED TO!
I am just in love with this game. I love the story. The idea of controlling time ( might seem cliche but it works dammit
). The characters are great - I adore Chloe and Max is pretty neat too. The voice acting is great. The soundtrack is also great. Everything is just great! Dammit! When does the next episode come out!?
I'm thinking I might go through it again fairly soon. Seeing the stuff at the end like "You did ..." I'm tempted to go and find the stuff I missed such as
Spoilerand try some other actions, likeSpoiler
Same here. Some of the choices I've made, I have the horrible feeling that they are going to haunt me.
YESSSS!
It's lovely, isn't it? Extraordinarily simple, really, with some great characters. Max and Chloe are the best. I can't entirely understand why I like it so much, to be honest, though. Apart from the time thing, on paper it totally should not be my thing at all, you'd think. And yet.... I want more!
I also got all the tracks on the playlist so I can listen to them whenever. All the ones in ep1 are there plus others which are presumably in later eps.

The PS 3 version of Enemy Within had and still does have a **** load of bugs. Save corruption, freezing/crashing, enemies not loading in or troops that glitch up and can't move use abilities or even attack.I don't remember it being hugely buggy when I played it...

I can't believe I missed as much as I did, time to play again.
Yeah. I thought I found everything but no, I missed tons.
Hell yes. I've played it twice now and I think I got most things. For example, did you...
I made lots of 'good' choices, and better ones in my second go. But yeah, there's a definite "come back to bite you" feeling to some of them. Well, possibly excepting whether you sort out Lisa or not. On my first go I...

Yeah the Game start with the Alien who have a Bigger advantage....so in the beginning..God ya gonna die alot....But it was a bigger game . And ya could enter houses...and it was filled with more suspence . As well as they made 3 more ...one underwater and one more . So while the new x-com is Good...it will never be as good as the old one..but at least they kept the whole 'pew pew Alien' stuff intact....
I just wish..they filled it with more tension like the old one...ya know..when it is alien Turn ya totally Blind!! Ohhh I did like those cerbrus like Guys though..now that was a nice addition .

Old X-Com was great. Also Laser Squad, which was its predecessor in terms of the tactical turn-based combat (Made by the same guys.)
I gave so many hours of my teenage life to that game...

(Whoever was playing in this screenshot fails so badly at tactics it's untrue...)

Once you got ahead of the aliens, though.... they didn't stand a chance! Until then... every mission could spell utter disaster. Which is kinda good, in it's way I spose, unless you were rubbish at it!

I... think I remember that one too. Mainly because I believe I watched someone else play it so it isn't as stuck in my memory.

It was a really good two-player game, actually, although you had to hide the screen from the other person while you made your moves! ![]()
