Sounds like Overwatch to me.
It was the closest thing to overwatch, but didn't quite work the same way...

fallout is a post-apocalyptic action role-playing game. the best ones, imo, are fallout 3 and fallout:new vegas.

I like how one guy in Val Royeaux actually recites the chant of light in that sing-song way that you get in certain Christian ceremonies. They should all do that...
The chanters in BG did the same when reciting Alaundo's profecies, it was a nice touch.

This. Plus, the first two games are top down and turn based (or not, but it's easier to use turn mode) like Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, etc.

The game is centered around future tech that people envisioned back in the 60's. More or less the stuff seen at the World's Fair at the time. If you watch this, it will give you a good idea of what the world was like before the nuclear war.

Esri photos. Man, the import really screwed up her face so I had to recreate her from scratch.
In a certain light she looks like the actress Analeigh Tipton, but I haven't been able to capture that yet.
I miss my badass scars. Why'd they have to go and fix Esri's face?

Fallout is based on an alternate history were we never invent the microchip, and computers never get smaller. The world gets stuck in a pulpy 1950s until there's a nuclear war sometime after 2000. It is pretty BioShock in the whole alternate 1950s' pusedo-utopia that goes horribly, horribly wrong. But the setting is centuries after it goes wrong. So what you have is a legacy of 1950s' pulp science fiction (robots, lasers, cartoons with moral messages, music) in a desert wasteland from Mad Max 2, with all the creepy radioactive monster stuff you get in STALKER, filtered through RPG logic which adds things like ghouls because why not?
The whole thing lurches between absurdest satire and serious grimdark, while making more pop cultural references than you can count.
Gameplay depends on game, but you're basically looking at Elder Scrolls with guns or Baldur's Gate with guns.

Just to damn cool.
It looks fairly simple actually... If I had the time and inclination I could probably pull it off...
They're standard cupcakes with fondant rolled out and then pieces of other coloured fondant cut out...
Maybe I'll try it sometime. ![]()

i have been considering getting a ps4 but i thought about the fact that there are a lot of game series i have never played that i'd like to and Fallout was one of them. As well as Borderlands. i would rather not wait until they start uploading them to the cloud for digital dload on Ps4 cause i know they eventually will.

FO 3 is set in the bombed out ruins of Washington D.C. . It's sci-fi with lots of exploration, cool future tech( but heavily inspired by what people of the 50's and 60's thought it would look like ) and all sorts of crazy side quests and zany characters.so what is Fallout even about? i keep seeing posts about it but what IS it?

only thing I'd add is Borderlands is probably better co-op.. it's kind of a social game. I don't think it stands on it's own by itself. Fallout is the complete opposite.

imo new vegas is my fave
I guess I like them equally. NV has a lot of better ideas, but for some reason it took longer for me to get into.
I wish at least one of the DA games tried a skill system like that.. or that Obsidian took over. You can personalize so much about the character just on the start screen.
