My cat started on hard food, but once she got canned, she demanded it.. got expensive. She liked that "gourmet sh*t".

Oh sorry to hear that! It's tough when they go.
The canned stuff is more expensive especially when they need special diet ones like our one cat who gets stones often. We have to give her this special stuff that breaks up the stones. It's either that or she starts peeing blood which isn't pleasant for her or for us. So we get it. She's a sweetie though so it's done without grumbling on our part.

You're a good owner. I had a dog years ago with a kidney stone once (wasn't a persistent problem, I think). Wouldn't want them to go through that.

Well, I can be hot headed, I tend to charge in and have been called natural leader. Also, I don't shy away from a fight or a challenge and have a history of pushing myself forward long after most people would stop. So their is some truth to it. But, I still say it a case of who I am as a person matching a sign, over some sign impacting who I am.
