Oh sorry to hear that! It's tough when they go. 

 

The canned stuff is more expensive especially when they need special diet ones like our one cat who gets stones often. We have to give her this special stuff that breaks up the stones. It's either that or she starts peeing blood which isn't pleasant for her or for us. So we get it. She's a sweetie though so it's done without grumbling on our part.

You need to be careful when shopping for cat food. The stuff they sell at the vet's is often garbage (seriously). Cats are strict carnivores so you must avoid foods that contain grains. Canned is usually better than dry because cats don't have a high thirst trigger. They are designed to get their water from their food. Innova, Orijen and Acana are good brands. Reasonably priced too compared to the stuff at the vet's.

We give them both wet and dry and never give them anything but meat. We only get the special cans from the vet when she has the stones as the stuff is designed to break those up. It seems to work so we use it but only when she starts to show the symptoms (usually peeing outside the box and on the mat and with small traces of blood or reddish pee).

and where do ya buy these brands ? I only get whiskas...cose mines are addicted to it.....I never seen any of these brands in IGA .....

IGA would not carry these. You need to look for them in specialty pet stores. Orijen and Acana are Canadian brands, so you should be able to find them easily. Some Whiskas are ok, others... not so much.

id probably take the blue since i adhere to solipism to an extent but my curiousity would force me to go red its certainly a philosphical dilema
