It's not like she had some kind of montage with a Master Carta Thug who trained her to breathe deeply and be the blade, or whatever.

 

Lost opportunity. All talent selection should be rewarded with training montages.

Yup, that convo. I felt ridiculous and OOC having a low class criminal thug go ARE YOU OFFERING ME NOBLE ALLIES/SOLDIERS/TRAINED SPIES when like...come on. They'd understand. That scene felt purposeful to highlight the class difference between Trevelyan and Sera, but there is no class difference between Cadash and Sera, or Adaar...even with Lavellan, they don't feel like the kind of misunderstandings you'd expect a Dalish elf to have, but I could headcanon that one easier with Lav being like "uhhh....what are things shems do..." or whatever.

 

Even if there was a "So, what exactly are you offering me?" line. Sera would still have the dialogue, but I wouldn't feel as dumb.

Yeah, and not to get too #NotAllTrevs about it, but I'm sure there were some who wouldn't be that oblivious so even if the scene had just been for humans, it's a pretty limited RP spread. I just find it extremely irksome when I feel like the NPC's characerization is taking complete priority over the PC's. I mean I know it's a hard balance, but scenes that like don't make me feel like they even tried.

I think you're really right to be annoyed about this. How hard is it to say "I'm picking up you're putting down, Sera, I think you could be an asset."

Right so the new patch, I have it installed and all that but I haven't touched the SP since Jan. I'm sorta kinda curious as to what they added, I heard we got storage for Skyhold and you can colour swap your crafted armour. Anything else of note? I'm not too pushed to play it again, I'm mainly waiting for some DLC to hit.

we got bug fixes(new ones as always) a pallet swaper and a storage chest side from that not much

Just that. BLack Emporium was apparently a buggy disaster and will not even be in the next patch, afaik. (Not in the beta, this is just what I've gleaned)

Haha, no I think it's gonna happen, it just....went very poorly the first time. I wish I knew the details. I mean I wouldn't share them, NDA, but I wish. I'm still so mad they did a beta like that like--sign up open for like 6 hours, take anyone who applies. I saw soooo many of my friends on tumblr who were in the beta go UGH IT DOESN'T WORK ALL THE WAY I CANT DO EVERYTHING I WANT THIS SUCKS IM OUT and I'm like cry....that's what...betas are...supposed to be like....I WANNA DO IT. (I love beta testing stuff, I love breaking things lmao)

Can't cheese dragons to death with Thousand Cuts now either since Flask of Fire got patched.

I don't know what's in it....it was def gonna have the Mirror of Transformation though, yeah. I highly doubt it had new hairs, I just feel like that would have leaked? But who knows. I also havent' been even looking for stuff about it, so maybe it did leak.

I mean they patched the bug that allows you to use Flask of Fire and Thousand Cuts without draining focus.

You can still stack the s*** outta Killer's Alchemy to one shot dragons though.

The Black E. apparently was never going to be part of patch 5 or 6 it's dlc (though we still don' know if its paid or free). Bioware simply had us beta test it along side the patches during the beta testing. Though we only got clarification after patch 5 was officially released on pc.
