I hope none of the characters are gonna be like Isabela. I loved her character, but we already have Zevran and her to fit the promiscuous trope. I also don't want Sera to turn into Meril 2.0 btw.

I don't think there's any danger of that. Merril was kind of naive, while Sera is probably streetwise. She did hang out with the Friends of Red Jenny.

She sounds idealistic though - which often comes with naivety. But yeah, from what we have heard about her so far, it doesn't sound like she is gonna be naive like Merril.

Good question.... I'm not entirely sure, but I certainly don't see her following the Inquisitor around like a big-eyed puppy. Maybe she'd see it more as a matter of equals, rather than one putting the other on a pedestal. A down to earth, deeper friendship kind of thing.... with jokes, pranks and giggle-snorts thrown in for fun.

I could see Sera fitting into this. Also I think while she has a playful side, I think when it comes to conflicts regarding the Fade and war and such, she is dead serious about the matter.

Isabela's romance is definitely more enjoyable with a sarcastic female Hawke

Ok, so i just caught up...and...well...wow lol....seen a lot of assholes on this forums, and i guess i can add one more to that list (no name telling though).

I like jokes etc in a relationship, it´s fun!, but the two long term romantic relationships i have had so far, were with somewhat serious persons ( and i´m a little spitfire). Cause i need someone to keep me level headed and grounded, and i function better as a person for it ( and i´m attracted to it aswell i guess, on some level...). So for me Sera is not going to do it for on a romantic level, (she will be my best friend in the game though i can tell you that,) and that´s for two reasons;
1: She is to much like me ( from what we have heard so far) lol
2: i´m a dude and i´m not into ladies that way. (Gay as a tangerine here 
).

I'm doubtful that Merrill's culture shock about human society would be mirrored by Sera, who seems to have been raised in an Andrastian culture. I suspect the only time we might see Sera dealing with some cultural unfamiliarity could be with the Dalish or the Qunari.
