she trashes on the warden now my my she is mean :P

But really we've been over this sera is human raised with little of her cultrual influence so she would natrually find them "undesirable" its a warped logic stemming from ideological, social and possibly idenitity issues.

But i think your taking a leap saying that inquisition shats on dalish fans... if anything imo it gave them weight

The Dalish have been screwed with the bloody Spear of Destiny in this game. But aside from all the other grindingly obnoxious issues, she has no religious problems until that moment, but it's a moment that's utterly unfixable and utterly terrible.

Lukas probably wanted the romance to feel "real". Like how Sera probably thought to give the cute elf quizzy a second chance in hopes that she is not too elfy. Clearly she doesn't have a problem bedding elves, as long as they aren't too devout dalish?

Xil pls, find a new topic and stop asking the same over and over. :P

As I said before, the elephant has not yet left the room. If Lukas won't give answers, I'll keep trying to seek them elsewhere. But how does this breakup conversation feel "real," at least moreso than if it didn't exist? Because from what I can tell, it comes out of nowhere.

Good luck with that, Lukas hasn't been here for forever. So I doubt you'll get answers.

Besides, the game makes it obvious as to why.

so they are christ hehe

Jokes aside im afraid i must disagree on the dalish front sure they got smacked around sure we got new info on how some clans act but it wasnt a impalment more a revelation that will benefit them in the long run

As for the sera thing thats how some people cope. Mind you she's a "little person" so when "gods" she's mocked for x time are real maybe she thinks she will be punished like if i was a moraless bastard that saw the real god or goddess id be breaking down too for sins of the past. but her breakdown is just rejection which is normal. And if its so unfixable/forgivable why ask? The answers are many each valid

I'm more wondering why Lukas chose to afflict us with this.

Because I can't stand not having satisfactory answers.

So I'm thinking about romancing Sera on my new Human inquisitor, are there any decisions or scenes I need to watch out for?

i wouldn't call it affliction just a story that took a turn in a realistic fashion

As to the unsatifactory answer... thats life shite happens. Just lie to her.... ever thought she's just testing you to see if your really prideful to a fault like every other dalish she's "met"

This isn't about pride, this is about seeing what's in front of your own damn face. She doesn't even believe it herself; she wouldn't be so terrified if she didn't think it was real. It's some kind of frenzied state of denial that it's impossible to find a healthy solution for, and it's infuriating.

I don't recall anything specific to a human inquistor she takes issue with. She's kinda bonkers in general though.

more along the lines of "don't pick this option or it scraps it all" or something

That's fixable. I don't think the Dalish conversation issue has been yet.

* cole voice*how do you sera's a wildcard its hard to know what she truly thinks since she bobs and weaves or gives "unsatifactory answers" and "healthy" solutions are subjective

What, either lie to her like a child or fall for her trap and break up with her? How are either one of those good?

She doesn't want to believe it because it terrifies her.

Yes, this part shows how Sera is close minded sometimes, but she's no different from real life people. That's Sera's character. It's not "poorly" written, it's because you don't like it and you can't deal with the fact that Sera still believes those "gods" are demons. We don't even know what are those "gods", apart from what the dalish believe them to be.

I feel like we're going full circle again.

The thing is, though, that it's not about close-mindedness, really. It shows in her terror; she doesn't believe, I think, in what she claims. She pretty much says that she doesn't want to think about it because an explanation might force her to have to accept it.

And there you have it. That's also a good point.

Also, Sera never has been a devout believer. She maybe believes the Maker is real or Andraste but in a banter with IB, she says she doesn't want to think much about all of it, really.
