Nooooooooo! Oranges are better...  :P

No, don't leave. I think that voting thing is a ridiculous thing. I still have my favourite characters. I don't care what some statistic says. Neither should you, Arte.

I agree. It's ridiculous. Making me choose, the nerve these people have...!

I told Uncle right off the bat that I felt his pain. I see the dilemma.

I don't mean to offend people by saying I'll choose Leliana. I don't even actually vote. I don't have facebook. It means nothing.

Can't see what's bad about not having that. I have a book of faces, and I still won't bother, actually.

Okay think of it this way... an extra $100 of gas money every month. I certainly don't want to be spending that, so why should I ask a guy to do it just because I'm female?

I'm perfectly capable of driving myself to a location.

I just meant that I wouldn't mind doing that. Me, myself and I. I'm not saying every man should do it. I'm not saying every woman should ask of it.

But what are we choosing the Ultimate Party for? Wait, is it the musical DLC?!

But no, that was "improper" and the man is supposed to pick up the girl.

Oh dear.

Is there anything about Sera's skills that tie into a storyarc? I don't recall. I think Leliana has that going for her at least.

Well she was so fast and quick with her bow...

I had it years ago.. I'm just not into being that connected. It was a mistake.

Okaaay then. Awkward Dazzle. Shush now.

Your wish is my command. Shushing.

You get used to it. I basically have a quarter drawer of every chapstick flavour imaginable. Lol.

Ugh. I keep rubbing on it unless I put something on it. Thankfully, putting something on it means something that heals the damn thing, so... Bam-hit-hit, two flies with one hit. As we say around here.

It's the old "gentleman" thing. I have to admit, I'd also prefer to be seen as a gentleman. It's an old ideal, and perhaps it's not even fitting for the modern era.

Still, me, stuck in the past as I am, well... Gentleman isn't a bad thing to be, right.

No, it makes sense. You love the series as a whole. I do, for the most part. I'm very iffy on the Iron Bull... but that's the first I've felt like that about a character in the series. I always found some angle that won me over before.

I've been iffy about other characters too (Alistair/Vivienne) however they have their parts in the narrative. All I can say is that Bull is not my favorite character in this game and I ignored him on my first two runs (Cole too) but this run-through I used him and discovered he was more than I expected (outside of the sex which was exactly what I was forewarned about, lol).

Exactly so. And I don't even like every character, I actively dislike at least one, but it doesn't mean that I think that one (or more) character(s) I don't like are inherently inferior to the ones I do like: I just don't enjoy their company and if I can I don't recruit them/try to have little to no interactions with them. That's all.

Damn right.

Oh. I don't really check it much. Not much there for me to do.

And my profile photo is me sitting on a T-34-85. Has been for five years I've had the damn thing. I've outphased a dozen jeans since, and don't wear the baseball cap anymore. Oddly enough, the hoodie is the one thing I can't part with.

I was thinking Cole was going to be the prob when I came in, but not at all.. he's great.

Alistair/ was very cool when I first played, but then on others...especially when I stopped liking the "Warden" thing.. he grated on me.

Artemis, I'm sorry that I brought the contest up in the fist place. It just frustrated me that they were having this popularity contest in the first place

It's alright, seriously. It's not your fault they're doing this stupid votation. Because it's stupid. I mean, once they have assembled "the ultimate team" what are they going to do? Tell the fans of the "losers" that their favourite characters are not popular, point at them and laugh? I just don't get the reasoning behind the whole thing.

Similar. I thought I wouldn't get along with Dorian much, but that magnificent bastard is just... magnificent.

He's gonna be rollin' 'round Thedas with me again next playthrough. When I'm not playing a Mage Inky.

I used to go up to b-town every month. I had a friend, for years, who led a 60's style garage band there until his death a few years ago. It is a college town that went into decline when the steel mills shut down. The place was pretty hard off for years but they've revived with a lot of arts and music fairs so that it has a new life as a college/art town.

*snip*

Yeah the guy I know went to school there and then stayed. I say I know him. I'm more a fan who listens to his podcast but I have met him in real life and corresponded with him quite a bit. He plays drums in a funk band that does events like weddings and such as a day job, and does his podcast and his own solo stuff on the side. He always mentions when it's MusikFest time in Bethlehem...

He is great. Just did his little restaurant scene the other night for the first time and it was really well done.

I got along really well with Viv on the first two games but this last one I finally got the furniture removal scene and I have never wanted to slap a character in this series so much. Why there is no option to ask her to leave Skyhold right there and then is beyond me. That's a fire-able offense she makes.

long as you dont be a arse bout its fine. But "gentleman" is a spectrum with more guideline than absolute rules its how you interpet rules

For me my ROC is

1: be well mannered
2: hold the doors open
3:have a rose(non-negotiable)
4: dress nice/proper grooming
5: guy pays ideally(but both paying is more preferable)

My first date paying rules are as follows:

  • If I really like the guy I want to be nice and I usually offer to pay – I guess my reasoning is to try and repay him for giving me such an enjoyable night.
  • If he insists on paying I’ll let him, but genuinely thank him.
  • If I think I might see him again but it’s not a sure thing, if he offers I’ll let him pay.
  • If I don’t plan on seeing him again I insist on paying my half.

Oh wow I've seen these guys at least twice! Hahaha small world!

Musikfest is a big deal up there. I've been once and it was tons of bands playing on small stages everywhere you went and then they had some big acts perform in the evening. It attracts thousands of people. I've been up there for their renaissance fair and there is a large ethnic German population there so there is a Christmas fair/market there every year in the German style and that was fun.

I wouldn't change that, Dazzle. Not in any way. If you want to drive yourself to a date, that is your right. It's not wrong to do that. I just prefer the old way of doing things. (in this instant anyway - the old way of doing things was often... wrong, to an extent.)
