That sounds awesome.

edit: never been to any kind of ren fair btw

It was fun (the musikfest). The ren fair I found a bit silly. I don't handle crowds as well as I used to or I'd go again but I think my days of going to any kind of festival are over. :(

its more a romantising of a old ideal than crazyness... hmmm maybe i am bonkers haha

You're bonkers to want to have to allot more resources to your budget to pick up your date when she has a car and loves driving.

It's the old "gentleman" thing. I have to admit, I'd also prefer to be seen as a gentleman. It's an old ideal, and perhaps it's not even fitting for the modern era.

Still, me, stuck in the past as I am, well... Gentleman isn't a bad thing to be, right.

I would have thought what she is allowed to be is more important than what you are seen to be.

It's alright, seriously. It's not your fault they're doing this stupid votation. Because it's stupid. I mean, once they have assembled "the ultimate team" what are they going to do? Tell the fans of the "losers" that their favourite characters are not popular, point at them and laugh? I just don't get the reasoning behind the whole thing.

I think the point is to generate awareness for the game. You know, near costless but possibly effective social marketing. It's stupid but probably harmless.

Hey Seranaders, how are you all doing this fine morning or night. What did I miss? Art seems mad, I don't think I have seen him( or her? I'm sorry I have horrible memory) mad.

long as you dont be a arse bout its fine. But "gentleman" is a spectrum with more guideline than absolute rules its how you interpet rules

For me my ROC is

1: be well mannered
2: hold the doors open
3:have a rose(non-negotiable)
4: dress nice/proper grooming
5: guy pays ideally(but both paying is more preferable)

^ This as well.  ^_^

Not big on crowds either, but the Christmas +cultural thing would cheer me up.

Aw, f*ck. We only just lost Leonard Nimoy and now Terry Pratchett's gone. 66 is too young. Bloody Alzheimer's. :(

I'm not sure on the "harmless" part. The message that comes off this whole contest is that "the winners are the best and the losers are the inferior characters, don't bother with them". There are already too many folks who laugh at or outright verbally attack someone because they like/dislike certain characters, did we really need to encourage this behaviour further?

I know it doesn't seem like it, but I'm a girl. ;)

And I'm mad because the "popularity contest" between characters is stupid. U_U

If i didn't have such an economical little car, princes would be crazy here. It takes about $95 a month for me, and a drive is minimum 25 mins unless it's in my neighborhood. I live out in the boonies.

Funnily, that kid from Bronx Tale just got out of prison recently.. I think. He was involved in some burglary and murder case.

No, we don't.

I agree, I just don't think that it will actually cause much more hate. Maybe give the fighters a few new threads to scrap in, but they had plenty of those anyway. I don't know, I guess I just figure that idiots were already doing a fine job of being stupid on their own.

Damn I did not know he was in prison! I am due for another viewing of that film. I do love good mob movies.
