And I'm mad because the "popularity contest" between characters is stupid. U_U

It's dumb agreed and I don't have that high of an opinion of the DA fanbase as it is buuuuut if Alistair beats Cass it will drop even further.

No harm done. Honestly, there are so many of us here that it's hard to keep track of who's who. ^^

And yeah, we really didn't need something that fractures the community even more.

Yeah, it seems like Sera fans are easy targets. Wow, that's depressing lol. I admit I'm not exactly a beacon of enlightenment but damn, hating on people cuz they like a character you hate lol. Human race is ****ed we ain't gonna make it.

Given the choice, would you have preferred Inquisition to have had a more likeable lesbian hero* than Sera?

*That's a terrible way to describe our hypothetical character, but let's run with it.

Slightly creepy.

it helps for knowing trolls or jokes

I like her as she is, but there's something to be said about breakout characters... and not like... giving them so many obstacles to break out to begin with. Let alone have mainstream appeal.

I kind of said something about this in "Gay Knight in Shining Armor" thread. It might be better if they started with a human with those traits. Or elf. Just to insure a little more appeal to a wide audience.

Indeed, Cass is an amazing character. She is strong, brave, compassionate and able to kick ass and be gorgeous while doing so.

The internet makes it easy to form snap judgments and opinions of others and hold them. We can hate their little avatars without seeing the humanity behind them. I've been surprised by how personally people will take it if someone does not like a char they like or likes one they don't like. It's silly.

I know this might sound odd but, that's actually one of the reasons I like her. She is her own person( so to speak ) and just doesn't give a ****.

It's not odd. But they could have done the whole "divisive lesbian character than you can boot out of the party at any time if you don't like her" at a later time and not for the very first lesbian companion in the franchise. So far we have dozens of examples of straight characters being "knights in shining armour/goody two shoes/selfless/etc". It kinda sends the message that gay people can't possibly be knights in shining armour too; maybe it's not what the authors intended, but this is how it comes off to me and at the very least a few people I know IRL.

Yup. One of my best friends had a person virtually melt her face off because she dared say that she doesn't like Cullen for this and that reason. She was polite, and got attacked because she disliked a character. People can be very weird, to say the least.

Cass is great but I agree it would of been nice if she was a SS romance. Honestly after the whole Aveline b.s. I'm just happy she's even a romance option.

24 actually, and I don't go under 22. It's usually not a good match because most guys that age and under are still in college and they resent me for having a stable career and making more money than them. Not to mention they usually still bus, which means I have to do all the driving.

I take the buss and I do not depend on anyone for a ride. Way to many uninsured drivers, wildlife on the road and stupid drivers in general in my area. I stopped driving after getting in two wrecks during the same winter because idiots cant drive in the snow. lol

Two wrecks... are you sure you're blaming the right people?

Joking, sorry.

I want to learn to drive. I've done 10hours worth of lessons already but, I just can't seem to book more. It's not that I forget or anything. I just don't see the need for me to drive yet. I get around fine enough on the bus and I don't mind walking long distances.

I still don't drive. I live in the middle of town, 30 minutes' walk/10 minutes' cycle from my work, 15 minutes' walk from the train station from where I can get direct trains to most big cities in the UK. I don't see why I'd waste all that money on fuel/maintenance/insurance/buying the bloody car in the first place. I see why cars are necessary for some people, especially in big countries like the US and Canada, but not me.

I think they equate Rogues with ahem, being loose. Just look at Zev and Bella.

lol I was not at fault both times. First one I was rear ended by a guy doing 75 in the middle of a snow storm. He hit a patch of ice and slammed right into me. The 2nd wreck I was t-boned by a woman trying to beat a red light in a massive snow storm and at night. Both where uninsured drivers.  It's just a lot less of a hassle to take the buss. Especially during a storm.

Ouch, yeah. My first and only ever accident was with a hydrant because of black ice. Winter driving is the worst. But I refuse to spend 3 hours on a bus daily because we have the worst transit system on the world.

I don't like people enough to have them invade my bubble for hours at a time.

I just would have preferred if she wasn't designed to divide our own thread. I was going to write more but really it's all been said before and I would rather not start it again.

That's fair. For me it's not at all feasible to not drive, but I'd skate to work if it were an option. :P
