I just hope she's not easily missable, would annoy me if they pulled another Leliana/Zevran with Sera just so some uncomfortable players could find it easier to avoid recruiting her.

Wat? I'll own that we've had some followers who were too easy to miss, but that's because implementation could have been better. Do some people think these tens-of-thousands-of-words/VO/cine/art/anim/tech-invested characters were somehow deliberately obscured because 20 hours later in optional content they might make someone uncomfortable? In a game where you can kill a demon possessed child? Mind--->Boggled.

In any case, we don't want a repeat of characters being missed for pretty much arbitrary reasons. Active decisions? Hey, your character, your team. But we've taken pains in DAI to try and make sure you won't be left wondering why you never met someone.

That's good to know  ^_^ I missed Leliana in my very first play-through of Origins, but that was just me not being thorough enough. Ever since then I check every building/area/crevice for stuff. >.>

I never thought Sera was going to be made easy to miss in order not to make homophobes uncomfortable but it is great to hear you guys are working not to make any characters easy to miss :)

I find it terribly difficult to pass a door/box without checking if there is something inside. I'm oddly thorough, I need to check errythang. :D

If a decapitation can't stop her, some silly lil darkspawn ain't got a chance.

Yeah after that near miss I check everything now,but it's not like that inn had anything important to warrant investigating though.

Dooooooooooooooo it, I take everything, can always sell it although playing Skyrim and looting all around you becomes more hassle than its worth. I had this too many times to count, (edit: skip to 1:16)

slowly but surely I will make my way towards Whiterun's blacksmith and unload all this crap just give me a moment, I'm almost there.

In the finish I just got a pack mule, Lydia was good to me. :P

I'm sure it wasn't done out of malice on your guys' part, but Origins did set a bad precedent with the queer companions being flippantly killable. Just saying...

That brings back memories, would you believe me when I said in Fallout:NV I trucked all the way to the nearest store with the gold bars you get in Dead Money? On foot.Across the Entire Map without that perk that allows you to fast travel despite being over encumbered?

Because I did and then found out I couldn't buy anything with all those caps I got.:'(

Never played that game but that sounded awful. Hope your joypad survived the crash against the wall, I'm sure I would have flung mine anyway or at least a shoe. :P

off-topic, but I recommend trying it, fallout new vegas and the DLCs are not that bad. Still like bioware better.

Fallout:NV is awesome, you should pick it up at some point because it's like Skyrim except in a nuclear wasteland. But yeah I had to drop my armor and weapons because the snail's trawl through the entire map was painful.Painful I say, after buying all the super expensive weapons all that was left was killing that Legendary Deathclaw.

In FO:NV, there's a quest where the a widow's husband has been killed in the line of duty, but his body was left where he died because it's too dangerous to recover. I went there, picked up the body, with 'Z' and s l o w l y carried it to New Vegas while his limp, mangled form took up 3/4th of my screen. I finally get inside McCarren and bring it to the widow, and she won't acknowledge the body danging from my arms, even after I drape it across her and toss it at her repeatedly.

I check online to see if this is a bug and nope... the people you carry the body to are about ten steps away from it. I just totally missed them because the corpse took up too much of my viewscreen.

And let's not forget the guys who killed Anders just because he hit on them.

...Or maybe we should forget, for peace of mind.

Your icon.  It delights me so much.

But yeah, everything we've seen so far with how you guys have handled the queer characters in DAI has reassured me.  There has been a perception with past games that the straight characters were story-relevant and the queer characters were missable/killable/not part of the main plot, but I don't think that was deliberate, and I trust DAI will be very different.

Lets not forget there is a scene in the E3 gameplay demo where Sera's seemingly lifeless body gets tossed onto the ground.

I'm not implying she's actually dead, there have been enough discussions about that already. It's just really tiresome seeing the straight "main" companions never being in that kind of danger or having that many opportunities to die because of player choices.

Bowl cut AND a mullet?

No. Just.... no.

Yes, that just...ugh

Besides, it doesn't really get a "quickly and dirty cutted with a dagger" impression, il looks like the kind of haircut that would be fashionable in an other planet.

And yet we conveniently have the opportunity to outright murder a potential gay companion in Origins, and have never once had any kind of option like that for the straight main quest companions.

Again, I'm not saying Bioware did this out of any kind of Malice, they just did it because it probably never even crossed their minds it would be abused or viewed as horrible, which is why bringing it up to them is important.

Being able to kill queer companions while the straight companions don't ever get placed in those positions of potential death by player choice is crappy.

This is the same E3 Demo that also didn't have a single straight character in it, since Sera and Dorian are gay and Iron Bull and Leliana are bi.
