Yeah, I love Terry Pratchett.
It's a sad day.

I've been feeling absolutely gutted since I found out, but this quote from I Shall Wear Midnight helped me feel a little better:
"One day all of us shall die but - and this is the most important thing - we are not dead yet."
"And we shall not die today" would be a fitting thing to end with, I guess.

Alan Watts has some beautiful speeches about life and death. Of course so does Tyson. I love his speech on how the end of Humanity and even Earth is but a chance for new life as all our components( atoms ) carbon, water etc will be scattered throughout space."And we shall not die today" would be a fitting thing to end with, I guess.

I don't think I've actually read any of Terry Pratchett's books. I must correct this.

Pleeeease, y'all.
Got some good music, right here.
Also, shameless promotion of my favorite musician.
*snip*
Sorry... I do like rock music but there's something about that song that just leaves me cold*. I can't even quite say why. The production, maybe?
In terms of videogame-based singers, I'm more of a Malukah man, myself... (Plus she's Mexican which is always a bonus.
)
*Musical taste is really subjective, so please don't take this as an attack on you or what you like.

Oh, I chain-listened to Malu before high school exams. She's awesome. Her version of In Uthenera is also flawless.

Hey idk who he was so
Fantasy author. He wrote the Discworld series, co wrote Good Omens with Neil Gaiman, and wrote some standalone books too, like the ya book Nation. He's known for writing books that are smart, funny, and absurdist but internally coherent. If you're familiar with Douglas Adams, he's kind of been described as the Adams of Fantasy. It's not the greatest comparison under a microscope, but it's a good shorthand.

Yeah. If you love sci-fi and fantasy and don't mind it lovingly having the p*ss taken out of it, then Pratchett and Adams are both highly recommended.

Pretend I'm an idiot( not that hard haha ) who are you talking about? What theme if any do these stories have? I love me a good fantasy and sci-fi story however I'm a bit shallow and like simplistic stories ( not dumbed down ) but easy to follow with nice tidy story arcs. And battles lol, good vs evil, good vs good as long as it's gripping.Fantasy author. We are talking about Terry Pratchett who sadly died today. The books are humorous. They make fun of fantasy and sci-fi tropes, so not quite your usual good vs evil thing, but I wouldn't say that they are hard to follow.

A bit. As Veeia said, it's not a 100% accurate comparison but he's quite like a fantasy Douglas Adams (Who wrote Hitchiker's Guide). Absurdist British humour.
