how did DAI win GOTY... money wins by default

DAI got good reviews and lots of people like it, even if people complain here. I've yet to meet anyone who is more than "meh" about Destiny.

DAI is not really GOTY material to me (maybe it's the one I've played the most but lmao, on a critical level at least) but I'm honestly fine Bioware got some undeserved praise, sort of balanced out a bit the undeserved hatred (for da2)

Change of subject: I've been replaying LA Noire, the complete edition. New cases, new outfits... This game could have been great if it had had more cases and less focus on the open world. Still, finding all those vintage cars is pretty fun. So pretty.

"A gentleman who makes himself pleasant is welcome everywhere he goes."

I left my bloody phone at home today by mistake.  Pff, obviously.  Felt like I'd had one of my ears and half my brain removed!

That ultimate vote-y thing is a load of pointless PR wankery isn't it?

She also moons her several times. Viv even asks if that was Sera's bony ass she seen.

Hah, bony! Viv never could compete with the awesomeness that is Sera's butt!

Coming from a man, right there.

I dunno, DAI seems pretty damn good. Money probably wasn't the only reason it won.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was no money involved, actually.

Something for you...

At least you're enjoying it, right. I still wish MP was cross-platform... Not many Seranaders on the PC. I kind of dropped the idea of DAMPing with randoms.

Vintage cars are sexy as hell. I want a 1942 Pontiac Streamliner.

Never heard of it, but it's a 1942 car. Has to be awesome.

That's an awesome game! I hated the car chases though as I didn't have a controller and on KBM it's brutal driving the car.

I don't knwo anyone who likes it still, even if they initially enjoyed it. But reward shows are crap, even when stuff I like wins, haha.

I like the multiplayer, and there are some parts of single-player that I still have a lot of fun with, but my recommendation to everybody I've talked to about it has been to advise waiting until the GOTY edition with all the DLC included comes out because we didn't get enough game for what we paid for.

Speaking of that game this was my early saturday evening film last weekend. :) Good one from 1948 with the late Lizbeth Scott (who, side note, was accused in the mid-50's of being a Hollywood lesbian by gossip rags). Also has Dick Powell who was probably better in "Murder my Sweet" but is also pretty good here. Oh and Raymond Burr as the creepy, stalker, heavy. It's free on Youtube.

There is little replay value, but the car gallery is always worth booting the game. Oh, that Delage D8 120.

The cars were awesome and the attention to detail. When I read how they had recreated LA from maps and as many surviving photos as they could find, block by block, I was very impressed!

That is a spiffy car! I love those old cars. I envy the people who can maintain them much less afford them!

There's only one vintage car for me:

Citroen_ds_G.Bruno.jpg

(And it has nothing to do with Giles from Buffy or Patrick Jane from The Mentalist owning one. My love predates those shows.)

I have no real love for particular cars, vintage or otherwise.  There isn't one I want  to have over any other or anything like that.  Sure, they can be pretty amazing looking but I guess I'm not a motor nut or whatever.

Me neither, in general. I just love the Citroen DS aesthetically and because it was technologically ground-breaking. If I were some kind of millionaire, I guess I'd buy one, but it's not high on my list of priorites...

Vintage car's are not that expensive if you are willing to restore them. It get expensive when you buy one restored or one that has been in a family for years.

Ok, I'm home from work and I'll try to answer. I'm looking at the elf inquisitors relationship with Sera and I really like what Crim said before about having a couple of 'shut ups' over some of the comments that Sera makes. I think she needs to here that what she's saying is hurtful to the person she's in a relationship with. I also would have preferred if the elf inquisitors would have gotten the same ability to partially disagree with Sera in the Mythal aftermath as the other races. For me the way it is doesn't take into consideration how the elf inquisitors have treated Sera, no matter how comfortable you make her feel with your character your still going to be treated as you were when you first talked to her.

All I wanted was the ability to be treated like any other race in that conversation choice.

It's probably me and my inability to feel comfortable playing as a qunari or dwarf. If I could maybe this one thing wouldn't matter so much to me.

I love Sera's personality she's exciting, fun and so damn wonderfully extroverted. I've said it before Sera's reaction to the elf inquisitors in the confession scene is probably my favorite of any romance I've done in a game. I love that Sera is the aggressor, I love that she kisses the inquisitors, I love that she's the big personality of the relationship and that she seems to be in control. Well Dani I know your not big with words (numbers, don't be jelly, I still love ya) but that was a lot of loves you just let slip.

I don't know it's hard to explain but there was a time when I was expected to be a certain way in relationships that was totally opposite of what I wanted. Really that's why I can't romance Josie it brings back feels I don't want, in other words I want to be held, I want to put my head on someone's shoulder or jump up in my lovers arms not the other way around, at least not all the time.

Well, I did mention that I tend to ramble.

I've got to leave now as I have some make up Sudoku to do. :)

DAI is not really GOTY material to me

It wasn't much of a year. Not sure where 2015 is going either.

A person. just like the BSN, tumblr is a cesspool with some bright spots that make it worthwhile

Now you're being unkind to people.

Am I? Sorry, I guess I'm cranky lately, read too many posts outside of this thread/story forum (although some there too) that were upsetting, but I suppose that's no reason to get snippy. I'll step back then.
