It can. Some words are spelled differently here in the States when compared to the original from Britain and Europe.

Edited: Armor, Armour
Color, Colour etc.

That's why the Brittish favoured 'earl' over 'count' for the title. Too easy to mistake the latter for something else.

It reminds me of an interesting typo on another forum by someone who was visiting unpleasant relatives and they typed the 'cuntry' instead of 'country'. Freudian slip?

I was referring to the c-word. It's the 'garden of Eden', the 'secret love cave', the 'passion fruit', etc. Putting one's mouth there is appreciated.

Potty = toilet actually.

Still, some people enjoy that too. Just use lots of soap.

Oh no not again. Everyone remember to secure yourself with a length of rope tied to a tree or large loved one before going onto TVTropes.

She's just doing her job as a language teacher. ;)

Weirdly enough, "potty" can also mean something like "nutty" or "silly" in British English. I think in that case it comes from the term "crackpot" which means "crazy" or "crazy person".

Vintage car's are not that expensive if you are willing to restore them. It get expensive when you buy one restored or one that has been in a family for years.

Unfortunately while my Dad knew how to do auto repairs I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him as a kid and so I know next to nothing about auto repairs beyond very basic things. I also don't have a garage or any place to work on one if I did have the know-how.
