Unfortunately while my Dad knew how to do auto repairs I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him as a kid and so I know next to nothing about auto repairs beyond very basic things. I also don't have a garage or any place to work on one if I did have the know-how.
It's never to late to learn. I like restoring cars because it is something that really rewards the time, energy and effort you put into it. You find a old, beat up and rusted up car in some farmers barn or fields and with some hard work it becomes a car that looks/runs like you just drove it off the lot. My uncle has been restoring cars for years and I try to help him with a project car when I can.

I'd love to man but I live in a condo and in a region that is very cold and snowy. So the poor car would have to sit in the lot outside with, at best, a tarp to protect it. Also my neighbors will be less than happy over my car taking up a permanent space in one of the spots not allocated to residents since there are few "open" spots.

I didn't care for it as much as Hushed Whispers but Basement Cat says (believe it was Cat) that if you do Champions and refuse to do the flag thing it opens up some really comic stuff later with the, of all people, the Avvar chief at Skyhold.

Indeed! If you don't do the flag ritual, lord Abernache survives and you can pair him up with Chief Movran the Under as ambassadors.
