elven goddess

 

Eh, i'd prefer her to be just Sera and not another "vessel". I like her the way she is..

Besides, she'll get panic attacks if she finds out she's the vessel of an elven goddess.

 

She just happens to be really good with the bow.

I need to hear more about that theory. How many buy it and how seriously do people take Sera being some unknowing god?

im no rhetortician so i cant properly explain it. Basically its a theory that sera is a mind-wiped elven goddess named andruil goddess of the hunt(may be confusing names again). It has its holes but what FT doesnt. A fair number of bsner believe it as do some tumblrs. But it has even score of detractors

Personally I extremely dislike it.

my elders are my guidance. i am their voice. that's how i do things. i don't solely rely on that because sometimes their knowledge is tied into respectability politics which i am not about. i interact with too many different types of people to co-sign that.

Huh. I think if Sera turned out to be a goddess it might kind of spoil her character for me a bit. Also, it would start to feel like DA was turning into Good Omens. (R.I.P. Terry Pratchett, by the way.)

Not really. DC seems dead set on making their movies pretty gritty and dark. Because of that they really wouldn't have to tone him down. If anything they could show him at his most monstrous. The only real problem I see is unlike the Joker or even someone like Brainiac, Savage would require some build up. I mean guys like Lex Luthor and Ra's al Ghul think they have the resources, man power and plans to take over the world. But, compared to Vandal Savage they are simply playing games. In order to establish Savage as the threat he is and to establish his history, you really need to devote a couple movies to him. After all we are talking about a cave man who has been working towards world domination sine the Prehistoric days.

I agree . I dislike the implications for her character under that theory and I also dislike the "secret elven god" stuff like it was fine with Solas and Flemeth but enough is enough.

Basically the only "positive" to me on that theory is that Sera might have a chance of coming back and playing a larger role down the line.

Wait, sorry. I was mixing up Good Omens with American Gods...which is only Neil Gaiman. Guess I just had Mr. Pratchett on the mind what with the recent news.

 

Anyway, they could still bring her back in the future but, yeah, I think probably the main reason Sera fans would go for a 'secret goddess' theory is simply to ensure her continued relevance in the series. However, we've had fan favorite characters return before (Oghren, Varric) to reprise their role as party members so I wouldn't rule out seeing her back in the group for an expansion or the next main entry in the series.

Tbh i hold all the peoplw stay where they are if we go north... i say full clean slate. Everything new, lands, characters, magic, creature,lore. The whole shabang

I should say I do think that post is well thought out and doesn't come from a place of bashing Sera (which is where I had mostly seen that theory before it) so while I don't like it, it's a good read.

I agree. Her skill with the bow comes from the same place as my English, I could say.
