to be fair, i don't picture you the same way.

one guy i hung out a lot with was like him. but he was a big linebacker.... with a mulllet. as long as you don't look like that, it's cool.

well i did have a ponytail stylized like shikamaru from naruto in hs... man i miss my hair

Nope, it's really not. Some people are meant for long hair, and I adore my curls when they behave.

Same, Daz. My face shape doesn't work with short hair, and my hair doesn't do well with it either (I have a low hairline), which stinks because I'd love to have cute, low maintenance short hair.

My long hair is so low maintenance, throw it in a bun and done. When it's short? Disaster city, and I have to use all sorts of products and heat styling to make it look nice.

i had longish hair last year, but that might be the last time. i don't remember it being so much trouble in the past, but it got tangled a lot. not to mention oily. weird combo, i know.

yeah my hair gets like that after 2 months greasy enough to be a long burning grease

I use a wide tooth comb and detangle in the shower, then use a soft round brush once it's air-dried and that makes it a lot more manageable.

 

And the round brush removes a lot of the oil as well.

 i just ended up shaving my head. haha..

 

lot of women may not have that luxury (although i love the look myself on chicks)

My hair doens't look good up. I keep it a long, messy angled layered bob which means most days its fine without too much fuss, but I mean, I will and do pull it back often...it just doesn't work as well.

My curls don't like to cooperate when they're short. I need the extra length to give them weight and pull them down into manageable spirals.
