I did this before kiddo! I do love going to the theater. It's just a pain and expensive to hire a sitter or organize some kind of babysitting trade and apparently I don't love it enough to go through that, lmao. But there is something special about seeing a movie in a theater, especially now that it's so rare!

Lol, for a moment I thought you were calling me kiddo!

Ha, there are upsides to Dazzle being child-free. :P

Edge of Tomorrow's too good for me not to watch.

I love Edge of Tomorrow. Finally a time premise that made sense to me.

Good series, it just doesn't mean as much to me as some people. I love films like I-Robot, District 9, Chappie( I don't think a single one of these got great reviews ). I blame Isaac Asimov, I just love the idea of life, humanity the idea of a soul within a machine.

Why haven't they come out with a second District 9 I need to know what happens. *sigh*

See I love robot stuff, but I prefer it to be less of essentially a metal human. To each their own!

I, Robot will forever be my favourite robot movie. <3

Because, movies like that aren't the Expendables 10.0 with twice the edge and explosions lol. I know how you feel believe me. ****Ing Hollywood.

Because sequels tend to suck? There have been very few movies with a sequel where the second iteration lived up to the first. Even less where the second was better!

I focus way more on the film in theatres than I do at home. At home we have the phone ringing or my tablet is out or the dogs want to play, etc.

The largest demographic for films (in theaters) in North America in 2014 was males 18-34 so do not expect this to change any time soon.

Sounds like the same demo tossed about for gamers.

That latter demographic is changing, though. (Also, it's a little more difficult to pin down since it depends on how you define the term "gamer." If you include people that play casual games on mobile devices and through social media sites then that's going to seriously alter the data.)

Edit: Okay, yeah, to the point above- the AAA blockbuster games are still often geared toward that demographic. Still, even EA and Activision have basically admitted that a lot of the people in that player base don't play other franchises or game genres.

In my experience, the "dudebro" types usually just play shooters and/or the annual sports titles.

Hopefully, the massive success of DA:I is going to help convince EA that sprawling rpgs can compete with the big time FPS games. It seems they gave Bioware a good amount of resources and breathing room on this one- I'm hoping its success leads them to do that again in the future.

See, I'm a male in my 30s...but I'm slightly different.

I just want to be that cop, investigating.

Explosions unnecessary. :P

Ha ha ha. Someone's playing New Vegas then? Funny because I just started playing it again about a week ago after a long hiatus to finish up getting the other endings. I love that game but MAN is it buggy.

Street's a dude? Wow, I really have to get better at gender guessing.

Sorry Street!

It's the guy firing fire at you, right? Save your thing (when you go into a bullet time mode and you can't drop) for that guy. And use the best gun you have your hands on. And crouch if you have to to get the extra accuracy. And just aim at his head. He should drop pretty fast. Or, go in sneaky. You can get in through the roof there by running up the roller coaster.

My favorite robot movie is Blade Runner. Roy Batty was one of those characters that you can't help feeling sorry for.

In Primm? If you managed to disarm the mines on the way across the bridge, you can set up an ambush. If baddies are in a room, tossing a stick of dynamite (from Powder Gangers) inside can take away a nice chunk of health. Just mind the explosion radius.

There are two perks that are great if you want an explosives centered build: Demolition Expert (three ranks) to increase damage and Hit the Deck! to reduce damage taken from explosives, including your own. Mad Bomber combined with Nuka Chemist is an insane combination. Make special Nuka Cola Quartz from the regular stuff (found in every store that sells food), use that to make the almighty Nuka Grenade.

You need 100 in explosives to craft it, but it does 350 damage minimum.

Dani and I are both playing it for the first time now because of all the chatter about it in the thread. Or at least I am, I assume that's why she's fired it up! :)

I finished Lair of the Shadow Broker this weekend. ME 2 has been such a thrill ride and I still haven't gotten to the Omega 4 relay. One quick question: Miranda hates my Shep now cause he sided with Jack. How do I regain her "loyalty?" Every time I speak to her now I get this super snotty response that ends the attempt at convo quickly.

Let me guess, you've got a 100% accuracy at guessing gender?
