Cuz, Hollywood are you surprised? But I couldn't really care, because honestly I enjoyed the movie and his books as well. It's OK, but I wish someone would tell me why it has that name. It bears almost no relation to Asimov's work...

I would't. She could have came to my Sheps quarters with a bottle of booze, a steak and while wearing nothing but a smile. She still would have had the door shut in her face. lol

How about Murdered: Soul Suspect? I just finished it yesterday. It was on sale for ten bucks so I decided to give it a try.
In terms of adventure games it's definitely more on the easy side of things but I still thought the investigative aspect was pretty fun.
I'm with you on missing the days of old school point and click adventure stuff though. The most recent games I've played that would probably qualify were the first two new seasons of Sam & Max. (I'm a console gamer and sadly season three never made it to us.) My motivation for solving the puzzles is mainly just getting more funny non sequiturs from Max. (I actually often use him as my avatar pic but wasn't sure if BSN would be cool with that.)
It's unfortunate that I never got to play the Monkey Island games or Day of the Tentacle, although I did have the original Maniac Mansion on NES. Also, I loved a game called Koala Lumpur (I think the one I had was actually a sequel) that no one seems to have heard of.
I never tried it.. didn't see good reviews. Maybe will pick it up since it's that cheap.
Yeah, I love them. Both for the good stories (also why I like Bioware, of course), but the gameplay is usually more up my alley. They reissued Monkey Island just like Sam n Max. You might want to check it out. They've also reissued Grim Fandango just recently.. another Lucas Arts game. It's not on Xbox, but PC and Playstation.

In 100% honesty **** Miranda. Cerberus kidnapped Jack, experimented on her and killed her parents. Jack was also not the first kid Cerberus did this too. If her loyalty to Cerberus makes her blind to the reality of the situation and she is willing to turn a blind eye to what Cerberus is doing, I'm glad she stops talking to you. So, much so that I reloaded and earlier save chose to p-i-s-s her off, just so I wouldn't have to talk to her. I'm all for the advancement of humanity. But not when it costs you your humanity to move forward.
Funny, I could find Miranda annoying at times but I REALLY didn't care for Jack. (She gets better in ME3 though.) My main issue with her is I think the writers overestimated how much sympathy some people would give her because of her backstory. The abuse she suffered as a child was truly horrific but I didn't feel like that should give her a free pass for being a murderous sociopath.
Reminded me of a line from Vince Vaughn's character from The Cell. It's something like, "A person can suffer all kinds of terrible abuse as a child and still be the sort of person who would never hurt anyone when they grow up." Something like that. I felt that Jack needed serious counseling, not a place on my team. Also, I couldn't stand the way she constantly dropped profanities like a 12 year-old trying to sound tough or adult. (That's how it came across to me anyway.) I see no inherent problem with swearing but the way she did it always felt like, "Yeah, see how hardcore I am??"
Interesting side note, when you recruit Jack that's the only time Miranda does the "welcome aboard" speech instead of Jacob. The ONE TIME, Miranda...sheesh.

I don't think she's that murderous. She was jailed there for killing Cerberus. She's no different than ME1 Shepard who randomly came in those Cerberus facilities and slaughtered them. And then while she's in that prison, she got gangraped (she talks about it in the Citadel restroom). So she killed those guys too. That's why she scared the crap out of the inmates.

Yeah, I must've missed the part in the book where they talk about how awesome Converse sneakers are. I'm sorry- Converse All-Stars, vintage 2004.
Ugh.

I think you're right actually- it's just that in her attitude she came across as WAY too enthusiastic about being ready to do some killing. For my taste, anyway.
Also, I always did feel like it's sort of a funny disconnect in games that your party of 'heroes' are often slaughtering people by the hundreds. Sometimes they're not even so much 'bad' people as just poor guardsmen trying to make a living.

I don't see them as heroes.. Not in ME2. Not exactly. More like the Dirty Dozen. Maybe not the heroes we want, but the heroes we need.
A lot of the themes of ME2 is just about straight up survival. And how to evolve in the big bad galaxy. Jack, Zaeed, Grunt, Mordin, Miranda.. all of the stories revolve more around evolution and how to simply make it in life.

I think the Dirty Dozen may very likely have been an inspiration. Plus, of course, the whole Christ thing with the Lazarus project and 12 party members. (Two of the apostles were DLC!) Interesting that there's no 'Judas' figure though. I was half wondering if I'd end up with a traitor on my crew. Would have been interesting.
Also, I was speaking more about heroes in games in general. I'd agree that certain party members were far from heroic and Shep is working with a known terrorist group. Again though, I just thought Jack was kind of kill-crazy and unbalanced. I understand WHY she's that way but I wasn't too thrilled about having her on my team. (Zaeed's pretty darn renegade too though.)

The closest pet store where I used to by my cats' food has closed down. The second closest is closed on Mondays. The third closest can only be reached with a bus (I don't have a car and taxi is not an option) that only comes around between 6 and 8 am.
Now I have to go to one near my workplace. I have to go get some because I ran out of cat food this morning. Otherwise the cats will eat me in my sleep!

As a cat owner/friend/father I know this horror. Things can get ugly (noisy) quick with no food around...

I have a basic rule that I won't keep any animal as a pet if it could potentially maim or kill me- which is exactly why I'm a cat person. I think you're pretty safe unless you have a LOT of kitties.
I'm actually cat-sitting for a week starting Wed. so I have to make sure I'm stocked up on all the essentials or my name is mud. She's used to getting treats every evening (if someone's home) and I've had to go to the grocery store at night just to get them because the person who drops her off often forgets to leave me with a supply.

They had their breakfast, thankfully. But I need to get more food for their supper and the rest of the week.

Legion is Judas.
He comes to us with some of the themes above.. About how the Geth just want to make their own way and evolve independently.
But he goes Judas when he forgets that and decided the only way to evolve was with Reapers.
edit: At least, that's how I view him.
Uh...spoiler? I haven't reached that yet.

Don't sweat it. I'll still role it out anyway as I will want to see how they handled it. I just met Legion yesterday for the first time.
