funnily, i was watching an episode of Nova on PBS recently and Leliana (Corrine Kempa) did the narration.

i love her voice just awsome.... no wonder she became the "best divine"

I don't know about that, but I agree with the rest.

dont you know leliana is the best because she creates positive changes and apparently "insults" other's "intelligence" by doing it.... apparently its quite controversal and "unrealistic" haha

They Just did a three episode special about the Revolutionary War. Normally I wouldn't of been impressed, but they focused on people never before given the attention they deserve.

yea that was pretty good, mind you it was pretty divergent from actual history, still it was good.

I understand the accusations of un-realism.

But it's not about Leliana. I like her. It's more about everyone else. It's the lack of conflict from thousands (let alone millions) in Southern Thedas. It's one thing to change dozens of people, but weird if everyone is all groovy about it suddenly. There's nothing that led me to believe they'd change this quickly.

If it was this easy, we shouldn't have even bothered with this mage/templar story in the first place. What a waste of time.

well i have a very shaky theory bout why it happens as such. Bear with me its a bit "intelleculally enhanced"

ahem. i believe that andraste was simply a mage that discovered a new school of magic, hymmology, Magic based off the voice. Now andraste used this hymmology to sway others to her cause under the guiss of prophecy and such. As she had many children she created heirs to this school but most are denouced unless for the ones that created orlais/other nation leaving anyone truly worthy

Fast forward a millenium leliana is born heir to this gift but not magically potent enough to use it. Her skills as a bard simply give it a boost to be sporatic and with her alledged visions possibly gained from a hymmology mutation of her power. Then 10 yrs later her skill has languished due to disuse and and doubt by doing the "good path" her gift is subconsciously amped to work with untold precedent but if gone on "the bad" path it basically remains the same but she is forved to restort to more "proper" means of persuasion.

It could have been possible, but if they really wanted this to be the reason, this game would have been a great time to say it. Now it's too late.

Basically though, my main issue is that it takes out the steam (and fun) of the whole Templar/Mage conflict.. like they're just waving alll that aside suddenly, with the Leliana ending.

well its mostly from obscure sources throught each game that just connects with(i see things that most dont... that and probably insane )

And it was fun til i came to the bsn its mostly just asshats being asshats to each other with few "actual discourse but that just me
