Start jumping between water and soda. Drink a glass of water before drinking a can of soda. That's how I cut down.

I need rehabilitation.
Start slow. Buy a bottle of water either normal or sparkling, and substitute a glass of pepsi/whatever to a glass of water. Each day, try to swap more and more glasses with water until you barely drink any pepsi/coke at all.

Yay, Serz has returned.
Water is refreshing!
Yes, please knock some sense into him Serz.
Oh, I would.
Bit of a shame that the only conditions I can store the water I bring to work will probably make it warm as .... and taste like crap.
But... I guess warm, bad tasting water is still superior to whatever they stick in those multivitamin juices. Those things are way too cheap to be legit.
But heck, if you can get COLD TAP WATER (so, yeah, at home) you're GOLDEN. It doesn't really taste anyhow excellent, but it's still good.
Plus, it should be healthy. Depending on how much chemistry they actually put in it these day to "clean" the damn thing.
NOTHING is as refreshing as cold tap water, right out of the tap (forget glasses, go straight from the tap, too)
I don't drink Coke or Pepsi at all. Yuckity yuck yuck.
Now that I think about it, do y'all know when did Coca-Cola make loads of $$$?

I used to drink a soda every night with dinner, sometimes 3 or more in a day if I was staying up late.
But when I started counting calories I realized that I'd rather spend my numbers on good food than sugary drinks. And While diet soda is another option, I'd rather not worry about long term health issues caused by processed products.
Diet soda is my treat when I go to restaurants, but at home I only drink water, tea, or coffee.

Put a waterbottle in the freezer overnight and let it melt through the day, then it stays cold.

Hmm... yes... that might work.
But then, doesn't water expand when it turns to ice?

Leave a little room and don't use a fragile bottle and you'll be fine. It doesn't expand moe than a few milimetres when it's confined.

Mmmm, water. I used to drink 1lt of cola almost everyday.
Since i decided to exercise years ago, my only drink was water. And milk. Trust me, you'll get used to water and then can't do without it... now the only cola i drink is green cola. It has zero sugar but instead has stevia as "sugar" and it's pretty good if you're used to cola since it has the same taste.... not even close to those shitty zero colas.
Also, always drink cold water.

Good for you!
I've cut candies out of my diet; because I'm the receptionist we have an office candy dish at my desk that I keep filled. So now in order to stop myself, I put the bowl out of sight and out of reach and I drink some water whenever I feel the need for sweets. I'd rather have a baked treat in the evening than a sugar bullet at work.

wow, I can't remember the last time I had soda. Been a long time. All I drink now is coffee and water, well hot tea when I'm sick.
I love tea to relax with a good book.
I buy new flavours from David's Tea all the time. My current favourite is Queen of Tarts, which is made even better with a half shot of cherry whiskey, hehe.

,to just water. It was hard for like a week, then I didn't notice it, now I think most soda is too sweet and gross.
I do indulge in soda from time to time, mostly local root beers, but it does feel like an indulgence now, not like an everyday thing. I've never gotten into artificial sweetness or less sweet versions for some reason, just like I never liked fake meat when I was a vegetarian, shrug.
Nothing beats cold water IMO, except maybe a good glaas of pinot noir alongside it.

I really like the San Pellegrino Sodas, but those are a like once a year kind of indulgence.
How long were you a vegetarian for? I wouldn't give up meat, but I have such issues finding good vegetarian recipes not smothered in cream and cheese!

Umm Cat...this is where you shimmy in with theories of relativity or something....Eirene ties in the historical accuracy according to thedas lore...Uncle finds a codex entry we missed...Dgyre shows up late to the convo but adds insight...Rage comes from left field with some knowledge no one was expecting...and we pontificate on and off about over a few days this within the thread.
Yeah...that sounds about right.
