Hello Sera thread! I'm a regular over at the Solas thread, but thought I'd pop in and dump a speed portrait I did today, based on one of drake2511's beautiful screens, since it's relevant.

They even find the most ridiculous things that happened to just paint Sera as "evil". Like that one who said Sera is actually a bad person bc you don't get approvals in the Hinterlands.   

Except she does approve...? I remember getting approval from her when helping refugees in the Hinterlands...

I might be misremembering, but she approves of that too. If not with actual points, at least in dialogue.

Oh, she does approve then? I don't remember. I just remember her banter wants you to save them.

Even if it's just the banter, and no actual points of approval given...isn't the mere fact that she tells you to save them enough proof that she cares? I'd think that dialogue >>>> everything else.

I am really bitter about this right now lmao because I recently spent a long time looking through anti Blackwall and sera tags trying to figure out where the f*** people got this idea that Blackwall fetishizes Sera and she loves it because MALE WRITER. (Spoiler: it's hilarious bs and deliberate misreading that one person posted and now everyone repeats it like fact without even knowing or caring about the actual source of the claim) like ffs, there are plenty of legit criticisms of Sera and an entire ocean of bad stuff to say about Blackwall, why would you make stuff up?

(Fwiw I get it's because they're awful I'm just venting not expecting a magical answer and I fully am aware it's my fault for upsetting myself by going there but I was legit concerned that there might be such a line, wouldn't put it past them)

I did get a dialogue....where he say 'Sera I love you' but...I saw it , like me saying I love ya to monkey when he make me laugh like mad . Ya know platonic stuff , because she make him laugh with pranks she plan and such...

It's the dialogue where Sera had previously been telling him a story, that involved but was not only about her having sex, and she'd ended on a cliffhanger, so he wanted to know the ending. Apparently that constitutes sexual harassment and fetishizing.

Yeah Blackwall genuinely loves her and is one of the rare companions who doesn't have to "come around" to liking her, he just appreciates her up front. But they are the two most hated (along with Vivienne), so of course it can't be a genuine friendship, it has to be CREEPY OLD MAN PERVING ON STRAIGHT MALE FNATASY LESBIAN, or whatever.
