I am really bitter about this right now lmao because I recently spent a long time looking through anti Blackwall and sera tags trying to figure out where the f*** people got this idea that Blackwall fetishizes Sera and she loves it because MALE WRITER. (Spoiler: it's hilarious bs and deliberate misreading that one person posted and now everyone repeats it like fact without even knowing or caring about the actual source of the claim) like ffs, there are plenty of legit criticisms of Sera and an entire ocean of bad stuff to say about Blackwall, why would you make stuff up?

(Fwiw I get it's because they're awful I'm just venting not expecting a magical answer and I fully am aware it's my fault for upsetting myself by going there but I was legit concerned that there might be such a line, wouldn't put it past them)

She was so not written as a tempest. None of the damn companions were written as having a specialization, and the only one whose specialization actually really fits the character is Cole's Assassin.

 

I don't understand this claim. I think the specializations are perfectly chosen, especially Tempest for Sera. It seems like just her style.

One of my big frustrations with the Briala plotline is that it seemed like a good place for Sera to be exposed to the fact that while humans can be poor and oppressed, elves experience it in a much worse magnitude.

I think Sera does know that, but she's focused on the whole thing instead of just one group

So if he's been hustling the dust for X years to godwin with the aide of Y templars then hes ideally able to create contacts to aide in his endeavors. So after the circle incident it would stand to reckon the COs would want a edge in case of a repeat. So after exhausting his suppy due to suppy/demand lil'Rog goes to the carta to get a bigger suppy.

Fast forward 11yrs the MT war is abound , your suppling both sides running low on the juice... theres this new lyrium on the market found randomly its unstable but amped as fuk so rog calls carroll, sets up a few samples to "taste the goods" turns out its highly addictive. So Rog breaks off with the carta to reinvent his own carta. 2 months go by cory is producing his taint lyrium but some get greedy and like any junky the temps quaf the stuff creating the reds

Perhaps. At the same time, she's got an interesting role when it comes to main themes (Faith). To me, it's more of a faith game.. not a race game. Should've been both though.

Eh. Faith is way too constricted in this game, with only one religion getting real face time.

It was probably added late in development, but it should be noted that there is a specific banter with Dorian about Sera's specialisation where he argues that she uses magic. She of course says that it's not the same thing...
