I used to take Rogek's deal. But I'm always loaded with cash since I got reaper's cudgel. So I just pickpocket from Rogek and kill him.

Disagreed. Aside from having banter specific to her specialization, among the three available to the rogue, Tempest is the only one that is actually meant to be chaotic in the battlefield, whereas Artificer and Assassin are all about precision. Seems kind of fitting for a companion that also gets you something like a jar of bees as a weapon.
As for some others, I can't imagine Vivienne being anything but a Knight-Enchanter, or Blackwall as anything but a Champion, considering his dialogue about being in the Grand Tourney and being part of the Orlesian army.
That being said I did wish they give Companions their own unique specialization

They had to dispose of her somehow and i think thedas lacks CAT4 biohazard containment proticals so as sick its sounds... free lyrium if they started mining herRage i like the start of your theory...my only thing is that they couldn't have known about red lyrium until after Meredith's crazy ass and Kirkwall. At least, I thought that was cool. Where you kind of had slight variations on specs. Like Fenris was kind of Reaver and Templar combined.

I think sebastian was more trouble for me.. forgot how to set up his tactics. He has something like the dagger wielding skill Unforgiving Chain, but it's better played manually.

I love Rogue hawke the most. I think that's their most rogue friendly game so far (but they could do better). Despite the Hawke trailers, I think the Inquisitor makes a more interesting mage.
I'm playing a 2h warrior through DA2 right now, and it just makes me want to play a rogue. I WOULD play a mage, but I can't stand to lose Bethany. Carver can f**k off and die though.
