No, you're right. He's a raw nerve of compassion, and he will always react in favor of those he deems to have suffered the most. But there's a use to that perspective, just as there's a use to Sera's "right here, right now" sort of mindset, and Vivien's unique perspective on the chantry and the circle. All the different mindsets and what they represent are the reason I love this group of companions the best. I think the function the approval system is meant to serve is best utilized here.
