Hello Sera thread, it's been a while, but I thought I could check on you. And thank you for a nice welcome  .

It's sis, actually  .

Undoubtedly

Spoiler

Anyway, I'm about to storm the Arbor Wilds and...I think it will be interesting. I thought I won't let my Adaar drink from the well, but I'm afraid she will be like:"Moar power, yay  !" *throws Morrigan out of her way* I'm guessing very important factor here will be Sera  .

Yes, this will be interesting.

I also remade my mage Adaar, it turned out there was something wrong with my eyesight, because she wasn't as hot and sexy as I thought  . But I'm really happy with her now. I've been thinking about  the spec I'll pick for her. I wanted to try necro, but I'm affraid she is not the type, sadly. I already tried KE which leaves only Rift Mage. So I wonder, is Rift Mage fun to play? Any useful tips? :)

I'll be back soon with some pics of my Adaar and her butt full of arrows :P . Have fun and also ...
...Sera <3
Spoiler

I'm late as usual, I know, but...welcome! :)

Lol, there might actually be some. I know, Artie will kill me, haha.

Hey now, who do you think I am? I'd never kill you for liking pineapple on a pizza, I'd just disapprove (mostly) silently. :P

Well as you may have (or maybe not) read I've been consumed by getting Sera that flowery crown that Orchid posted, I got it with my level fourteen character so Sera couldn't wear it, so Kayna my canon character took in on herself to give her precious the flowery crown.

xcssx0.jpg

As you can see Sera looks very enthused by this. She does love flowers. I don't think she'll ever take it off.

Kayna is so excited by this that she is in some desperate need of some Skyhold roof jumping. I've got to read more of the story in the third picture.

I need that helmet in my gaming life right now. It looks great on Sera. ^^

I had to edit out some emoticons from the quoted posts because apparently there's a limit on how many of them there are in a post...bloody annoying. >__<

I don't think she wants to be treated like a human necessarily either.

I think she's a bit before her time. Maybe it's subconscious, but it's more of a homogeneous ideal.

(srsly though she is an elf, you can't take that or her experiences as an elf away when assessing her....you can't pretend like she's a human and truly understand where her identity/cultural issues are coming from)

Personally I dislike that out of the nonhuman companions, most are pretty disdainful towards their own cultural/racial background, but....I don't think saying "Sera's forsaken elfness therefore I wont talk about her as an elf" is not a productive way to talk about her.

How so?

your treating her like a "whitewashed" elf which breeds resentment and hate. When does it end

My point, basically, is that she has no right, assuming she'd try, to hide behind her being an elf as an excuse for making racist comments about elves.

You could say the same for Cass too. And Dorian.

Everyone's trying to find a new place to fit. Except maybe Josie.

If you find the right GM and friends to play with, it's very fun. :D

The fact that our game master is a writer helps, she really knows how to keep the players hooked up on the story. :)

Eh Dorian's talks about his homeland are nuanced and full of mixed emotions. He admires and dislikes it. That's great treatment IMO. Nevarra is never a plot point like the Dalish are. I think I'm irritated at the game for not having a Dalish perspective, even often if you play Lavellan, considering how much the plot revolves around it. Varric is just a personal annoyance, particularly his banters with Solas, get a room you two special snowflakes.

To be fair given the revelations around the Dalish in this game, an actual Dalish wouldn't be able to give a real perspective outside of being shocked  :D   :P

I do mean Nevarra and Tevinter, but I also mean the whole kind of "world" these characters come from. Dorian's also examining his place as a mage, Cass with her relation to the Chantry.. everyone's transitioning, finding a new purpose and community. "Whatever we were before, we are now the Inquisition."

As for the Dalish, honestly... I found the Dalish Warden to have the cooler version of this story. They get tainted by an ancient elven artifact too.. that sets them on the path to heroism. But they also get more Dalish storyline.

Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit.

If that ****** Giselle can squirm out of Corypheus' revelations, the Dalish can ****** hold their bloody own when it comes to Mythal.

Corypheus' revelations doesn't really do anything than what we already knew

For the Dalish, are we referring to the Temple or Mythal herself? Because I was referring to the Temple

Pathfinder is the spiritual successor of D&D. Personally, I find it easier and smoother than D&D, they kept all the good things and got rid of the bad ones.

As far as lore is concerned...well, you could use the guidelines they give you, or you can come up with your very own setting (which is what our GM decided to do, and so far it has been very enjoyable).

The temple.

The Dalish quest is a quest for knowledge. What we learn changes nothing; the quest will continue.
