If anyone has seen the movie, Seventh Son, what did you think of it?

Interesting concept with good actors, but poor execution imo

I'm watching it at the moment; got like 20 minutes left. I'm getting a really "cheesy" vibe from it.

Edit:

Why is Jeff talking like he is?

This just reminded me a couple of days ago my inquisitors who's a Tempest archer which is a blast with both her and Sera destroying everyone in their path. :) My inquisitor did the leaping shot and somehow flew at least a hundred feet in the air it was awesome, first time I've had that happen in my game. My inquisitor got to skydive

Go Team Tempest!

BTW, does anyone know what Sera's depiction in characters trailer was supposed to be about? It gave me completely different impression about what her character would be.

I missed this response last night because I was very sleepy, so I'd like to adress it now.

When Sera meets your elf character, she says „aand you're an elf” (spoken with disdain in voice and with disgusted face expression), followed by „well, hope you're not too elfy”.

So it's very clear it was about Inquisitior being elf on itself. Also, in one banter with Iron Bull, when he asked her about her thoughts on some girl they saw in last town that catched his eye, she said „too elfy”. So it was apparently about her physical appearance, definitely not about her views on elven culture or anything that is used to excuse Sera's behavior.

Lately I've seen fragments of „White Chicks” again and realized why was I having feeling of deja vu. I think those who watched that movie know what I'm talking about. But that character was written to be a comedic caricature to be laughed at, when Sera never gets called out on it, and because game does everything to sh*t on elves it even looks like her prejudice is justified. Definitely saw people defending Sera by that argument, which is really terrible on itself because in the end, as with every decent work of fiction, it's in fact about real life issues.

On TV Tropes this particular trope is called „Boomerang Bigot”, and turns out, someone already listed Dragon Age Inquisition and Sera in video games examples there.

Unlike Latrell Sera is completely aware that she is an elf. Furthermore, when it comes to Lavellan being too elfy, Sera only makes passing comments about her physiology, which she can obviously get over if you romance her. Said comments (one or two) about not being physical attracted to elves comes down to fact that their bony and skinny, which in banter she manages is a feature that she shares. Elfyiness for the most part ultimately comes down to culture and religion for her. Physical appearance is totally something she can get over.

And the game shitting on the elves? Well, to be honest, the Dalish as a whole aren't turned into villains or represented poorly when they do show up. More like the ancient elves and the Creators were presented as jerks. Sera's comments about them were biased and come from her childhood induced internally racism, and Solas comments about the Dalish were more about annoyance of the fact that they have an inaccurate version of history. He actually praises their endurance at times even. As a society the Dalish are still less horrible then Orzammer, Tevinter, the Qun or Orlais.

Seriously, no one ever brings up that Orlesians for the most part are represented as scheming  upper class asshats in the game.

But for the other characters what they were doing matched with how they were portrayed in the game, and they were showed in their original "natural habitat", Sera was the only exception.

We see her having melancholic walk in burning cornfield in Exalted Plains, there are zombies around. She crouches to look at possibly dead elven man in fancy armor (definitely not any commoner, and I'm not sure but I think he doesn't have valasslin). There's visible expression of sadness and possibly regret on her face, turning into anger. Then she attacks the zombies.

What on earth was that supposed to be about?

But again, all the other characters were doing their thing. It actually makes me wonder if there wasn't supposed to be much deeper storyline for Sera, possibly reduced into what we've got due to time costraints, like with bisexual Cullen.

Solas

Also that elven man could've been another Friends of Red Jenny

Interesting. Perhaps that is the case. Maybe we'll see something like that in DLC.

Was that ever confirmed by a BioWare employee and not going by what was found in the game files?

Nope, Bioware hasn't anything in regards to that

I've read that some ex Bioware employee confirmed it, but I don't know the details.

So it is just as likely that bisexual Cullen was cut because he isn't bisexual.

Yea, since it isn't the first time Bioware did that

BioWare stated during one of their panels at GaymerX that things like romances get cut if they don't work. This is probably one of those instances of it not working.

"Bisexual Cullen" may even be the result of a "haha, come on, let's swap that female Inquisitor model for a male one, see what happens!" aka simple fun at work.

*shrug*

Or and early idea, or whatever, really.

Definitely not Solas, and that armor doesn't look like something someone from Red Jenny would wear (and why would he be in that place). For reminder that's the trailer:
