Going back to a previous topic... no, I don't think it's fair to say that we should wait to judge the game until the DLC is out. The game should stand on its own merits as sold, not require additional paid content to not suck.

I agree. I am waiting for DLCs to make definitive statements on certain things but I also do think the game should be judged on its own merits

She-Hulk is boss. Her most recent run (just ended this month cry) was amazing and highly recommended...way better than Slott's run and def my favorite modern take on her.

I just... don't think it was unreasonable of me to expect that issues with the Dalish and Sera would be covered better, yes?

its not unreasonable just wait and see. Whats the dalish motto of perservance

Pfft who needs Liu Kang (who's pretty much in the game) :P

Has she kicked female Thor's ass yet?

Meh

Veeia- no kidding.

Edit: Also I think Dan Slott is highly overrated. Spider Island (or symbiote island whatever) was less than impressive. Also, the whole 'big time' arc was...meh.

Edit 2: Okay, I did like Superior Spider-Man. That was cool. It was different.

Speaking strictly on the gameplay, I'm mixed on DAI.
I'd liken it to the first Assassin's Creed: it's a good blueprint but could use refinement.

The removal of healing, friendly fire being applicable on most spells, warriors being more than weak auto attack bots or tanks and rogues being able to use the terrain to their advantage were all positive steps IMO.

That said, it's even more unbalanced than DAO and after Skyhold it gets ludicrously easy irrespective of what class you play due to a combination of crafting and OP specialisations, although that's not the case with all specs (looking at you Necromancer)

I'm not sure how I'd rate it alongside previous installments though.

To me, it feels like DA2 was the first iteration of this style of game...

And DAI is the step back. Instead of improving the formula, it got more stripped down and simplified.

OTOH, some new additions are very welcome (crafting).

Which style?

The action RPG style (as opposed to DAO/Kotor/etc)

It feels the same as DA2 in many ways. I don't think it's something new. Like the AC1 comparison Duelist mentioned.

We see her having melancholic walk in burning cornfield in Exalted Plains, there are zombies around. She crouches to look at possibly dead elven man in fancy armor (definitely not any commoner, and I'm not sure but I think he doesn't have valasslin). There's visible expression of sadness and possibly regret on her face, turning into anger. Then she attacks the zombies.

What on earth was that supposed to be about?

I was confused by that at the time. It's like it was made to be a moody Inquisition trailer and just happened to feature Sera.

Tbh, f00k them. We still have whiners about LGBT people as well. Bioware will continue to have gay/bi as well as transexual people.

Hell there are people here who whine about the women in the game.

You know, I may be in the minority, but I think that Esri has a way nicer figure than Miranda. Like they zoomed in Miranda's bubble but and I was like... meh, it's okay, but it's not that great to warrant a zoom.

I never understood the appeal.

One of the options at the end of the confession scene gives you that nickname, I feel terrible can't remember which one.

The one about 'that's what love is' or something. I think anyway. It's not the marriage one and not the one about her becoming Divine.

Why would she do that? I mean, obviously she can, but why would she?

She does have an upcoming (at least I think it's not out yet? I'm so behind lmao) "team-up" one-shot with Gamora that looks ridiculous fun.

"She’s tough, she’s green, she’s in New York – and I want her DEAD!” That’s what the intergalactic bounty hunters were told when they took the assignment. Only it turns out there’s TWO people in New York who fit that exact description. Wanna find out what happens when you get BOTH of them mad?"

Oh, I don't think DAI is a step back from it more that it's tries to allow players to do both style

I figured they'd fight... because that was how early Thor and Hulk were.

If we have to couch this in terms of likely marvel warriors... Check Marvel vs DC... Illuminating. Glad wolverine beat Lobo- although the official explanation is that Lobo took a dive...

Ah, nah, Shulkie is nothing like Hulk, not even when she first came around. She'd be more likely to challenge Thor to an arm wrestling match and then go shopping with her.

I love the older hulk stuff though, the Hulk was so endearing. My favorite thing ever was when he and Namor tried to ally because they both hated humans and then that fell apart very quickly because they are bad at alliances.
