I have to do a playthrough where I don't let Morrigan drink. No spoilers but Veeia which option would you say packs more narrative punch? I mean without giving anything away.

I don't like the Qun either, but to me, she's full of doubt... and thinks she can somehow change things.. it makes her more interesting. And I already like Felicia, so it works.

Yep, same here. She strikes me as similar to Leliana in that regard - I'm not 100% certain what her previous life was before the Qun, but I always assumed it was something less than savoury. Then she finds religion and it gives her renewal and purpose, but she struggles with it even though she believes.

damn Lady Artifice i wish i would have saw that before i committed to Quan Shepard. Marcus was an excellent suggestion. i gave him a brutal scar. i usually don't but I'm attempting a full renegade playthrough and this makes sense lol. let's see if i succeed.

I have very mixed feelings about it. It has some of my favorite DA characters so far. I loved the implementation of the approval system this time around and the return of certain characters, and it was visually beautiful. 

 

The plot, the villain, the protagonist. These things inspired little excitement for me. When I finished my first play through, I was a little blue for a little bit, partly because nothing would have really lived up to the image I'd let myself develop in my head. 

 

I get that. They had a neat concept I thought and the motivation for the villain was interesting. I felt they failed though in connecting all the main areas to the main story as well as they could have and I also felt it was too easy to cruise quickly through the main plot and ignore everything else and that buttresses the arguments of those who claim it's a big empty world. I want a big world next time but I also want it tied more closely to a story that really does take a bit more time to unfold.

I definitely felt Lavellan drinking from the Well had more going on. I actually was sad when I played it that I couldn't justify more characters doing it, because it was super cool.

Just because my mage is the one who eschews power.. and she's completely the opposite. I want to see what comes of that.

Plus Morrigan gives better narrative feels later on...well, depending on your world state. I found those scenes perfection. Plus, I actually do trust Morrigan deep down. She's my Warden's closest friend, even more than Alistair. Leliana's her bae. Thank the Maker for gifts, allowing me to get three such diametrically opposed people to adore me!
