How old are they? Can they be left alone to play.... set on autopilot?

You mean you elected to take care of kids for free? There isn't enough money in the world to get me to baby sit.

My friend is going on a date. I was being nice. Now I'm regretting it...

That's a period in the lore, right? Like the Dragon Age?

I've yet to play a fun WH game (fantasy or 40k).. but I think a lot of people like Dawn of War (I hate RTS).

Yeah, Dark age of technology is misleading. You'd think that technology was lost, in fact it wasn't. Humanity possessed incredible technology( would look like magic to us ) but, when your that advanced and posses weapons capable of destroying entire world's any divisive war is going to end badly, even for the winner.

Edited: I apologize for derailing the thread with Warhammer stuff. It's not a topic I get to talk about at all, so when someone asks I geek out.

Just one. She's 3 and we're going watching Despicable Me.

Find a Games Workshop store or a comic shop that has a Warhammer game night and play a couple games first. Trust me, you don't want to throw a bunch of money at it before you know it's something you want to invest a lot of time and money in.

Learn the rules before you buy an army. There are a lot of rules you will need to learn.

if you want to get into tabletops I'd suggest starting with DnD, and go from there... I really need to find a good group that are doing a 40k campaign... hmmm

One fun rule. Your soldier actually has to have sight on what they are shooting at.

When I had a group we converted 40K into a pen and paper rpg. It was so much fun. We broke it down into 3 man squads for each player. You had your main character with a chosen class. The other two characters were a lesser class( like warriors in DnD 3rd edition ) they had lower hp, attacks and resistances. Damn, it was awesome.

Yeah, don't spend any money on an army until you've played a few games.

Oooooooooooooo that sounds fun. This group I was with for a long time had found some rules for a d20 40k campaign... but it ended up not working out cause the people in the group weren't all that into it... mind you, they mostly did stupid stuff in regular dnd, which made it hard to play with them when I was actually trying to be at least partially serious... I mean I get some playing around the table... but there are times when you shouldnt do some things... -_-

*ponders making a 'blow your mind' joke*

Note: The above is a sex joke. Not a suicide joke. I never make those because I don't find them funny.
