That's not really giving Cass/Varric shippers credit. I've read some fic for it, it wasn't just "bam" they were in love, there were long narrative arcs...also again, it doesn't change your game and you can easily ignore it, haha.

Why don't you let other fans enjoy their games without it interfering with yours, lmao? 

 

It's cool if you don't like, I feel that. There are a lot of popular fan pairings I don't like, but I don't let it affect my game. I just go "uh cool, you talk about that over there and I'll stay over here." 

 

It's just a bizarre concept to me, sorry.

If they were enjoying their own games, they'd talk about what was actually in it.

They're not enjoying their games. That's why. Once you get into fan fiction, people are off in their own world. 

 

If they were enjoying their own games, they'd talk about what was actually in it.

 

They're building off the games. They're playing with elements of them. It's all rooted in love and enjoyment of the canon. It's playful and something they do for themselves. You're just making a lot of assumptions and projecting a lot of things onto people. I mean it's cool if you don't want to participate in that kind of fandom, but I don't get the dismissal/derision of it.

Fan fiction is a double edge sword. I have read some that I enjoyed and some that really made me question the writers mental health.  

I've read one where it started off really well... but for the past 5 chapters or so... its gotten really odd.. like someone else is writing the thing...

It depends on how far your fan fiction went. Fan fiction is best when it works with what the game/lore provides.

 

Or so I think. Either way, it shouldn't be part of Official story discussion.

Thats.....a very not good way to see thing . Ya have no right to censore fanfic writers . As one myself...I ship whoever I want in my fanfic . If I want Tali from mass effect to fall for Oghren from DAO...who are ya to tell me not to do it ?
