That's pretty much what I did. I did three completionist playthroughs of ME1. One romancing Liara so I can carry that on, one romancing Ashley and one romancing nobody. (I don't like the idea of "cheating", even in a game.)

Was it easier for you because you're a console player?

Argh. :( The reason I skipped so much in ME1 is because the controls are so annoying. I guess I should though, because that way I'll get the choices I like.

And you can experience more.

Bah, unnecessary.

So, would y'all be annoyed if I skipped ME1 and went straight to ME2 when I play Eric?

The controls are just so clumsy for me and I don't want to deal with it again.

How do you feel about Wrex though?

We really need a version of the Keep for ME.

I'm not sure, since I only play MMO's and MOBA's on the computer which are two different style games.

I still had difficulty with the controls after having played ME2.

ME1 was a slog after awhile, even on my console.

.... On another note, I have a damn toothache flaring in the past hour. :\ My teeth are bad... and insurance moreso.

See, I'm a first time FPS player, who's been purely a Controller/PC player her whole life. And now I have to play using a mouse and keyboard.

My teeth are always in pain. I'm used to it now.

Plug in an xbox controller then? That's a thing, right?

He's the reason I'll always slog through ME1 instead of skipping to ME2.

He dies if you play without an import.

If like me you find ME1 hard to play through more than once then you can always download the Genesis comic that let's you just make a few important decisions like keeping Wrex alive.

Well that's what I always do, but ME doesn't have controller support, so I can't.

Yeah, I'll second Genesis. You won't get some of the minor tweaks, but good enough.

Well thank you for telling me! I may do the comic then, it's sort of like a keep, right?

Sort of, yes. It does omit things like side quests and it drags on for 10 minutes but it does enough to make the transition between games smoother IMO.

Kind of, but not really. It's a short comic strip type video with a voice over (similar to the story thing going on in Keep actually) where you make the absolute critical decisions like

Did you save the Council.

Did you keep Wrex alive.

Who did you romance.

Et cetera.

You won't get any choices like "Did you help Wrex find his family armour" or anything.

That's fine, not like I did any of those in my first playthrough.

Sheesh, y'all hate kids...

And then there's me. I wanted to be a teacher. Probably never will have my own kids, but that's not because of... kids. More like because of... the other significant half I don't ever see happening.

See, I'm a first time FPS player, who's been purely a Controller/PC player her whole life. And now I have to play using a mouse and keyboard.

Sheesh, Dazzle! That's what sets us the computer players apart from the consoles! Input devices!

Not saying it makes us better, but... it makes us different! Why not embrace our identity?

Especially if embracing your identity doesn't mean you must hate different identities.

*shrug*

I guess it's a bad topic, anyway.

I'd get a console if I still didn't live at home. I'm a pc player by neccessity; my mom hates video games and in trying to declutter the house sold my wii and all it's games.
