Well let's hope the ME 4 writers take the cues from DA's success in that department. I do feel like my romance with Liara, while sweet, has been light-weight in terms of writing and it sounds like for other people the choices are pretty slim compared to DA's.

If there's canon about DAI, the default is already fem Quisitor. So that's one step at least. I don't think it's so male biased.

My Garrus content in ME2 was super disappointing. I felt like "Oh, I get snubbed for 3/4 of the game and then when I finally get the romance cutscene it's like less than a minute long!"

Let's just hope next ME will do better in the romance department (and better treatment of the female protagonist in general) and stop being only "fanservicey" to straight males. The rest need their fanservice too, biower pls.

I really put my bet on DAI rather then Mass effect 4 . because..to me , no shepard..thats like the Bible without Jesus....the Maker without Andraste......the Templar without Mages..........................hum..I stop here before I contradict my belief

Liara was very distant in ME3 which saddened me a bit. Sera's romance (while lacking in hugs, handholding and the likes) was warmer and more... open hearted. Sera could tell you constantly how much she loves you (god, the love this-love that-love you scene) and Liara constantly called you a friend. Though the meld in the end was great, i still felt there was a lot missing.
Grrrr. I still consider Liara THE waifu though. Mainly because Mass Effect was the first game i played where i could romance a lady and she gives me memories.

Yep my Liara stuff is barely anything yet my romances with Cassandra and Sera have had multiple "aw" moments. I will say Bull's romance has no "aw" moments, at least not yet.
Eh. I don't consider Shepard THE mass effect. Mass Effect is full of heroes and a lot of stories to tell. So tbh, i'm not all that sad i won't play Shep.

Maybe ME 4 will give us more. I hope so because it will probably come out before DA 4 and I will be looking closely at how well ME 4 is handled for clues to how DA 4 is being approached in development. I want more romances with more deeper content and I want more straight and more lgbt options than previous games. I want more. Period.
