I think the Inquisitor only stands out... for the reasons Bull mentions.
That someone needs to make choices, and live with them.

edit: Personally, my own Inquisitor had a earnestness that the others kind of lacked. So he brought that to the table. Cass is like that too, but she doesn't want the job.
