Alexia Shadowrun was and is a pen and paper rpg. The Sega games were based on it, not the other way around. So yes, you can play as a woman and it's a amazing game.

I really dont care for its origins  The one on Sega was so hard to play..kept getting killed....

 

and I only picked it up..for Nostalgia sake..

Yes, but is it SKYRIM?!  Disappointed to see it's, well, disappointing. OTOH, I didn't expect much else. It's a shame - for all DA2's so called flaws, it managed to make both main DLC pretty interesting. By main I mean Legacy and MoTA. I'll be honest, I only bought Exiled Prince when I found out Bae Leliana had a cameo.   Although I liked Seb well enough. He really didn't fit in with the other ragtag band of lunatics though.

I actually hate Sega's Shadowrun, it was terribad.

Didnt have a say in the games that were brough home...democracy sucked in my home , 2 boys vs 1 girl = boys win by default lol 

 

So it was them who brough these games home...I just played them when none was looking

Has anyone played it yet because so far I'm having a hard time figuring out what the fuss is about. I'll have to get through before I can comment on price.

I haven't played it myself (1. don't have the game anymore. 2. on 360 so not released yet), but the main complaint I've been hearing is that the DLC is basically Hinterlands 2.0. Huge empty area with fetch quests and monsters to fight. ''It's nothing we haven't done in the main game', is a common complaint. Zero new companion content thus far (a couple of banters but no cutscenes or dialogue at Skyhold.)

it's the most beautiful area in the game from what I've seen. A banter with Sera and Dorian, kind of cute. Still haven't gotten into it much. Got some high level weapons. Enjoying it so far but like I said not too far into it.

 

It seems to be. I will get it. I just might not get it today. It might be next week or something. It looks like it's fun Dani. I guess part of people's reaction is that we aren't getting anything that adds depth to what we already know or post-main story content. I think they'll give us that eventually it's just a bit of a let down is all. But I like reading that you're enjoying it because if you said it sucked or wasn't worth it I probably wouldn't get it at all. I.e I value your opinion.

That's a very good reason. I could never finish DA2 because I got bored. I did watch a let's play to get the story though.

I really liked DA2's story myself. A friend put it well once: Origins is an epic adventure movie, whereas DA2 is more a TV serial drama. I loved the timeframe spanning over several years and the character development and interactions. My biggest complaint was that dungeon. You know, the one that respawns in about 50 different locations in the game.  I also grew quite attached to my cheeky Hawke.

I really liked DA2's story myself. A friend put it well once: Origins is an epic adventure movie, whereas DA2 is more a TV serial drama. I loved the timeframe spanning over several years and the character development and interactions. My biggest complaint was that dungeon. You know, the one that respawns in about 50 different locations in the game.  I also grew quite attached to my cheeky Hawke. 

I don't mind repetitive dungeons (hey, I know it by heart! Easy peasy!) if the game is looter/pack rat friendly (like Fallout and TES). I need trophies to decorate my many homes/lairs/secret bases.

*Kills trolls in cave to turn the cave into a stash spot. Fast travels back to cave and is mauled several high level trolls that now spawn in the cave. lol

Ah, the joys of respawns. Mind I love when bandits with fur shoes show up. I use those as slippers in my house.

I heard there are banters referring to your victory over Cory if you do it after the main game. Also I heard the rifts and the enemies are lvl 20 and higher (lvl 24 rift or boss fight)?
